3 MAN TEAM OPEN...8 BALL....in Missouri

I personally wouldn't be doing the handicapping, you would be talking to Dustin about that stuff for sure. This is his tournament, I just helped him put together his flyer and looking out for him on here.

How would I be handicapped? I don't play in any leagues.

How about Andy Craig and/or Jim Helt?

Have you ever played in the Columbia or Lake of the Ozarks area?

Anyone play league that yu are comparable to? How do you match with Snooker John or Jamie Martin?

I've not seen either of those guys for years so can't say. Don't think I'll be attending that tournament anyway.

Missouri State Champion? I think he would be a 7 or whatever the highest handicap is. But Dustin is the tournament director. The other player I would have to make a couple of phone calls. Aaron Stoker probably knows his speed.

Looks like Troy Kirkendoll, Buddy Smith, and I will be entering a team. I am looking forward to this one.

So, are they going to use the same handicapping system they use for the Friday night tournaments? If so, I think they go up to 13 or perhaps 14. Won't take much to get into the top tier if that's the case.

I see, so it will be a different handicapping system. Cool, well like I say I'm looking forward to it. And I will most likely see you Sat. at Mo River.

Take care,
Aaron

Mo 8

If Dustin is playing as an 8 I would assume most players are being based off their MO 8 ball rankings which Dustin is an 8 in. In that case I believe they go from 2-8. 2's are usually legit twos and can't pocket three balls in a row.

how will the tournament be played like i know its 3 men but what is the format ????

:smile:The handicapped system will determine whether your team must race to '7/9/11'.

HERE is the Official'3 MAN TEAM SHOOTOUT' event flyer... @ (http://peoriapool.com/tournaments/3man_8ball.pdf)

The individual handicaps will go to 8, hence the highest team handicap will be a 24.

Handicap System:

- 16/under - Race to 7
- 17-20 - Race to 9
- 21-24 - Race to 11

Again, just go to the flyer for further details and if anything should change by chance, then it will be reflected on the flyer. Thanks!

I already gave you guys all the handicapp info and Yes Dustin is an 8 in MO-8 and if you haven't ever played MO-8, then he will handicapp you as he or others know and/or your BCA and/or APA average handicaps.

3 man 8 ball team, you pick your line up ahead of time to play, just like BCAPL Nationals for instance and then if there's a tie, you can call up your strongest player to play.

It should also be noted that a 4 or 5 in st. charles commonly plays like 5 or 6 in st louis city. Hell, one of the 3's from up there broke and ran out clean during one of the MO8 all-star tournaments, race to 2. The numbers don't always reflect ability (without getting into other possible "factors").

What sort of turnout so far as number of teams are you expecting for this event... and how would the prize money be divided (rough guestimate is fine)?

I probably won't be going as it's beyond my 50 mile limit :D but some of the other local fellows might want to go and I know they would ask these questions.

It's ON BABY!!!

It now looks like this event is going to be HUGE and there will also be a ton of other people of up there for the California Bob Memorial event.

Good thing they have a ton of tables! :p

*** CANCELLED EVENT ***

I just heard from the tournament director (Dustin Dunham) that the event has unfortunately been cancelled.

This was all because of not having enough 'confirmed' team entries and the next event promises to do this in advance.

You can contact Dustin @ (636) 300-7326

The 6 teams should have hung in there, there would have been more show up or only lasted less time. FYI...... Justin is now going to Theo's if anyone likes money I suggest you go buy him, I bought him in the last tournament for 170 bucks, he did not buy half so I got back 400.

Have to work 13 hours tonight and tomorrow, so I will not make it. Besides work pays better than any auction.
