It is a very affordable cue with some of the nicer features for cues that are much more expensive.

The old saying..."If you don't have anything nice to say, (insert mean comment)."

Bump for the good man Rick.

i know it's just a small detail but i think the cue would look better if the tips were taken down some. maybe to the height of a compressed leather tip

Schmelke making these for you from joint to butt? Looks like a Schmelke relabelled from tip to bumper. Jerry Powers did the same thing with the Stinger, and Greg Savioe has his BW j/b done by them as well.

Not being smart - just asking an educated question, that's all.

So Its cool for shawn armstrong to point out where these cues are coming from

Schmelke makes an excellent cue stick, These cues are well designed and retail from $145 just as a standard cue and around $100 just for the butt without the special joint, or JB Tip..
A JB Shaft from schmelke is generally going to run you around $50-65 the additional joint work is probably going to run the consumer around $35-$50 additional.. Considering these cues are just $200 Shipped.. An original Stinger JB that has the same characteristics.. almost , and that are made by the same people will run you up in to the 200-300 range...

The BCA is banning phenolic tips?

is that better?

yep they're banning 'em. a friend in my old league told me about it a few days ago. i'm betting you could pop on a talisman j/b tip or WB tip and it would break and jump just as well

My last comments on this subject in a posting to SELL CUES are that I pm'd both of you with about the same message. Interesting that those who have no interest in buying have all of the insight in the world as to who, what, when and where. I had a discussion with a highly respected member on this site. He offered advice and I'm taking it.
I do indeed have a connection with Schmelke (as do many cuemakers) as well as Atlas Billiards, OB, McDermott, Kamui and any other company that I purchase components from. Does Schmelke do a certain amount of work for me? Yes, indirectly as do some other cue makers. The majority of the work done on my cues is done by my partner and his "poorly paid" ;) and very part-time help.
What you see offered by me is a nice product at a very reasonable price. There are a lot of very satisfied buyers who can and have attested to that fact.
Quite simply put....If you aren't interested just keep moving on to a post that does interest you. Doesn't mean you can't comment but you should make an attempt at doing so with some class.

Some people cannot help but show the extent of their class. It's one thing for someone to "pm" with certain questions or comments be they appropriate or not and it's a whole different kind of rude to publically display your inner jerk.
I have a partner who does a lot of work and also uses components from different suppliers including Schmelke. They make top notch cuemaking components at a very reasonable price. Atlas Billiards also supplies cuemakers with components. It is sad that someone who is trying sooooo hard to succeed has to attempt to do so on the backs of others.

Well, first, you didn't answer the question. I know that everyone uses everyone else's components. Your cues just happen to have the EXACT configuration that comes out of the Schmelke shop. Here's my point. Predator made no bones about people knowing that Falcon was making the butts for their cues. If I'm going to shell out $200 for what I think is a custom cue, I want to make sure it's custom. If that's coming from Schmelke with your label on it, I think I have the right as a consumer to get an honest answer if I ask a good question.

To say I'm classless for asking you if you're outsourcing your manufacturing is hilarious. I'm sorry for offending you, Mr. Balabushka. It will never happen again.

I guess no one is allowed to ask a question regarding originality or authenticity on the For Sale section.

I think he answered your original question very well in post 25 above. It appears that you have an ulterior motive for your questions though, so I think you should stop beating around the Bush, and disrupting this mans thread and come clean with what you know is a fact.;)

In addition most forum members do understand that if you want to ask questions that really do not apply to the item for sale. If you for some reason have concerns about an item you should PM the seller with your concerns before intentionally trying to create confusion in the persons thread, I mean this is common courtesy.

Take my comments for what they are worth or disregard them completely!!!!!!;)

Shawn's right!

I read the thread and nothing Shawn said made your product sound inferior or of poor quality.I think by what he said is that they are not custom cues but they are customized cues and that is a big difference to the person who might want to purchase one.To say what was said to him was uncalled for in my opinion.

Selling cues

I think everyone who is looking to deface this guy for doing something good for the sport and he is trying to encourage those who can't afford a Richard Black, Scruggs Etc... Give him credit rather than crap. He is doing more than many out there to keep our sport thriving. He is making cues that are high quality and we can see it from peoples responses. So, before anyone else calls him out, just think, he is not trying to sell anything inferior, the product is worth the cost he is asking for and maybe a little bit more. So people, backoff!

Enjoy the sport we all love and if you want one of his sticks go ahead, if not then just let things be the way they are. By the way, the cues look great, and from what other Azr's say they are worth every penny. I am just glad someone is doing something they love to do, regardless of what others say...
