3 things you would change about pool

I would ban asking what three things should be changed. ;) Seriously, why keep asking about things that will never happen. Live in 'the now' and don't worry about minutia like this.
Folks, too many of you live in some sort of pool-crazed fantasy land. Just deal with 'what is' today and you'd be better off. I'm bowing out of this with three things: 1.bar-boxes are never going away, 2. 14.1 is never making a comeback. and 3.FargoRate is here to stay. Deal with it.
🤔 Soooooooo….., let me get this straight. None of these things are going to change so everyone should just let it go and accept it, deal with it, they’d be better off not worrying about minutia like this? You know what, it occurs to me that you’re right.
Then again, it also occurs to me that there are those that are going to resurrect old threads, those that will post threads that you find useless and stupid, those that will be so audacious to have opinions that you don’t agree with. These things are never going to change either, so perhaps you should just follow the advice you give here and just accept it, let it go, don’t worry about minutia like this, just deal with it. You’ll be better off for it, your blood pressure will be lower and that vein on your forehead won’t pop up and throb. Sorry, I mean no offense, but if you can’t see the irony here then you’re just not looking. 😉

In the finals, lets do away with the that loud shot clock. It's not needed there. Most matches still take 2 hours.

Bring back the orange 5 ball. Green cloth or Blue cloth. the other colors should be scrapped. Thanks for reading

If anything I would say with alternate break the break is even more important, it puts you in a spot where you must have a good break so you win on all of your breaks, lose one game because you don't make a ball or foul and it becomes very hard to catch up.
Would you rather play svb winner break or alternate break? 🤣

This has to be the most entertaining thread I have read in some time. Love it!

I would add "get ESPN to cover pool, *8 ball or 9 ball'" So much more skill and enjoyable to watch than cornhole or darts.

Because they don't play much if any straight pool. Rotation games such as 9 and 10 ball, you only need approximate position most of the time. In straight pool you need more exact position on the key ball and break ball, which often needs more cheating the pocket.
Tight pockets force better position in all games. Especially rotation games you need the correct angle, which is why it rewards the best players

Eight ball and straight pool you can play area position and have multiple options. It's more about decision making

have you watched the american 14.1 championship? played on diamond tables. shane ran 200 something, filler ran a couple more.. and filler's road to his win that year had multiple matches were he simply ran the set out

Sounds like that may have had 4.5 inch pockets if it was a standard Diamond.

bigger pockets
dirtier tables and balls
less 9 ball more 8 ball on regular equipment would be more entertaining
thats all

check out ultimate pool. i don't think the best pro players would find it very determinative, but it does seem to satisfy the needs for those who love 8-ball and big pockets. even i find it entertaining from time to time
