are there any mass production companies that make stock 30 inch butts? if not does anybody know a where else to find a reasonably priced one?

Your best bet would be to put something up in the wanted section.
Some do make 30 inch butt, many do not. Your best bet would be to call who you like and check with them directly.
Just so you know you will pay a premium to get it at 30 inches.
The only one I know where you can buy right now is Elite cues who has it ready to go.

I once had a 60 inch Adam cue with a 30 inch butt. I googled 60 inch pool cue and got many hits.
Most custom cue makers will make 30 inch butts.
Schmelke Cue makes several cues with a 60 or 60 inch option for an extra $20.

I'm pretty sure Joss and Schon will make them for you as well if that's your thing, but I'd go with a custom myself... Check with Larry Vigus, 63Kcode here on AZ, he's known for making 30+ inch cues. The 2 30's from him I play with are true players and modestly priced for what they are...
