4.5 is a snug fit on 2 balls. this is def less than 4.5. Maybe 4 3/8?Looks a hair bigger than 4.5".
That wouldn't be a tightness problem, that would be a shitty table. Or you're slightly exaggerating. These pockets reject anything along the rail at any speed.
Not if the balls are really old and no longer 2 1/4, right?Looks like I was right.
Can still move those a hair closer to point 2 point. So a little over 4.5 inches.

I was checking yo see if anyone was paying attention.I’d say it is 4 1/2”. Nice Raschig balls![]()
Yes. I don't think most serious players play with balls that are really that worn down. Not if the balls are really old and no longer 2 1/4, right?![]()
NOT FROM POINT TO POINT!!!4.5 is a snug fit on 2 balls. this is def less than 4.5. Maybe 4 3/8?

I'll shut up after this one but why? Why measure like this? FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY AND GOOD!! STOP!!!View attachment 742360
RKC said this looked like 4 1/4", I get about 4 3/8" measuring point to point. Either I couldn't get the 3 ball quite all the to point because the 1 kept dropping or I am just really bad at aligning with the points. I measured this like 10 years ago because it really doesn't matter, just make the ball.
Just take a tape measure and measure from point to point – simple.View attachment 742360

I measured with my scale first, but I typically use balls because I don't carry a scale or a veneer with me when I go out to shoot pool.I'll shut up after this one but why? Why measure like this? FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY AND GOOD!! STOP!!!
Okay I'm back... If you start with point to point and then move one obect ball AWAY from the pocket it's easier to understand the pocket size than jamming one of them into the pocket. If it's bigger than 4.5 inches, you'll see the gap between the balls. If it's not, one ball will move away from the pocket.
I'M DONE!!!
Maybe too much coffee.

Please tell me if I’m wrong but you just Take a measuring tape and measure tip to tip correct lol
Last time I tried that, I gave BIH.Just take a tape measure and measure from point to point – simple.
I know, I was just at the pool hall and don't carry a measuring device. Maybe there's an app for that . . .
Believe it or not, but just two nights ago I was making some room in my case, and finally took out the digital vernier I had been carrying for the better part of a few months at least...lolSure, you just whip your tape measure out of your bag . . .
