Just curious, how do you fare playing the ghost? Break and then ball in hand for your first shot. You don't need to go to forty if you don't want to. Break ten racks, ball in hand, how many balls you make or a run out.

He has so many people on block that the helpful messages and the questions of "throw out 4 balls, take BIH, can you get out" are all missed.
 
That was the era of wood racks, and worn spots, and maybe they even used worn pool room balls in some events. It had nothing to do with the slate country of origin or the cushions or the table brand.

You need a new set of balls and a magic rack. And replace the spot on your table, or remove it entirely and use a magic marker dot as the spot.

The Aramith set you have is a low level set. Get the Aramith tournament set, or any of the Dynasphere sets. They are both better tolerances and better polish which will make the balls roll better.

With that setup, you can even use the now banned Corey deuel break and get runnable outs.

If you don’t know it, get all of the 2001 US Open matches with him in it. Or, get the TAR Shane vs Donnie Mills 9 ball race to 100. Donnie broke them even better than Corey.

LOL, I forgot he complained about the country of origin of the slate. OMG.
 
Before you blame the table again. why not get some lessons on how to break.
Conditions will play there part.anywhere you play.
There has been a ton of helpful advice suggested. Post a video of your break, I'm sure one of the instructors on here will chime in, on the other hand if you got a great break, no worries!!

This pretty much happened again today. 40 breaks and only 3 decent chances to run out. Got out once, hosed up two.

I am starting to really look forward to getting that new Diamond Professional table installed in my rental property. It can't play any worse than this Gold Crown IV has over the last 20+ years.

Gotta agree. I decided last weekend that I was only going to play the 9-ball ghost. Maybe played 60 total games from Fri-Sun and won one stinking game and ran 7 in another before doggin it. The rest, just no where to go after the break. The ghost, as always kicked my ass. This was on a 9’ Diamond.

At least it was productive breaking and safety practice.

I was thinking about what might help his game based on past posts of his.

Then it hit me, the best thing for him is GNC stores and getting some protein shake mix.
