The biggest comment/theme from this interview is that the players cannot dictate what is needed for the success of the game. He states that there is no one who knows whats better for the game than him. He alone rules snooker and if you don't like the way he does things then be on your way.

There is little chance that one person can rule professional pool here in America. But that is most likely the only way for it to thrive here.

Only my humble opinion.
 
I’m looking forward to upcoming US open. Barry cannot hurt the state of the pro game in US. He might be the man to turn it around.
