4ea Diamond 5'x10' ProAms in the making.

One piece slate is a pain to handle . Why would they go that route ???

How about 30 minutes setup time vs 3 to 4 hours to set up a 5'x10' pocket table? How about no seams to have to deal with, or installing the bed cloth over and over again;)

When it comes to setting up a 9ft 3 piece slate pool table...I'd give ANYONE in the world a head start to get the job done before I can sit down....eat dinner, have dessert...then bolt the legs on a 9ft ProAm...flip it down...level it...and still have time to waste....before that OTHER table is even ready to roll a ball on;)

Shane is my favorite player in the world next to Efren and Busty.

I thought that too until last week I had the privilege of watching Dennis Orcullo play and defeat Lee VanCorteza a race to 23 in 10 Ball at Hermes in Manila ! Final was Dennis over Lee 23-20 or maybe 21. Hermes is a small club/bar with 3 tables, a/c and good service. The knowledgeable crowd in attendence were the elite of the Manila billiards community. It seemed to be unanimous that Dennis is the ultimate rotation player in the Phils, if not on the planet...Tom

Anyone know why Earl is playing so much better now than in recent past years (including when he was roasted by Shane 100-63)?

Yeah, it's been mentioned before, just not in this thread. This is not the same Earl, any half blind objective person knows that. So if you want to keep hanging your hat on the 100-63, give some odds, and call your banker. There will be alot more people wanting Earl's side now than a few months ago.

Earl comfortably goes to places on the cue ball Shane doesn't and as a result, he out positioned him. That had very little do with the table IMO.

Realkingcobra,

Getting ready to finish the basement at my new house. The room for my 9' GC IV is not quite big enough. I don't want to downsize to an 8 footer. Was wondering if Diamond makes the "oversized" 8' table.......playing area 46" X 92"? Thanks.

DTL

I know Diamond did offer the Professional in OS 8. Matter of fact BigTruck was selling a few from a closed pool room a couple years ago.

I'm not sure if it's currently offered.
