It is better to just ignore him. If I have anything else to say to him, I can post it elsewhere and spare the forum the ridiculousness of his games. I have his phone number although I rarely use it unless I really have to. He's said much worse about me elsewhere, so i could care less what he says or does. He has the option of either
a) Behaving
b) acting like an idiot

Option "b" wins out 99.999% of the time. Its a shame because he has a lot of knowledge to share, but he gives the insanity a higher priority.

I agree Cameron. A 5 pack is not great. It is merely good. I would imagine that many people who have devoted years to this sport have done this. On RSB I would guess maybe 40 or more people. Just my guess though.

This was pretty tame stuff from the eteemed Mr. Bong Soon Han (pka Fast Larry, aka Tommy The Tomato). Its actually kind of sad that he was banned because Larry does have a gift for teaching pool and he is extremely knowledgable. To see that, you need to go to his pool forum, poolchat.net - of course Larry is all of the characters that praise and worship him, but if you can look past all of that, he has some pretty useful information.

Also, Jimmy - don't antagonize Mr. Woodford (Whitewolf)- for the next 2 years he will accuse me of posting as "Jimmy M." -

I hadnt posted to this thread, so I will answer the original question before I address the above statement.

I had a five pack long before I became a decent player. A couple of nines on the break and a few early cheeses and there it was. I am a much better player today and in no way relate the level of my game to how many concecutive racks of nineball I run.

I dont remember the exact number, but pros run around 35% from the break. So having the balls work out 5 times in a row is not common. It doesnt mean the person shooting isnt capable of getting them out when given the opportunity. (obviously the better the person breaks the more chances he gets)

As far as the issue with FL, I agree with the above statement. I wish Larry could get over what ever is up with him. Larry thinks out of the box and it would be interesting to get his serious oppinions on different subjects. Bad thing is the way he puts people down makes everyone want to stick HIM in the box and tape the lid shut
