Great stuff, Colin. You won't believe this, but an open level player from here (NYC), who's given me lessons, is watching in the stands on that Stephen Hendry video at the Crucible! I'm going to pick on him today for that...:D :D

That open player you're referring to must be ether Rolando or Jason.

Colin,
I know you were trying to make a case for snooker being a more difficult/demanding game than pool. Now that I've seen a full 3 games (Thorburn's and 2 of O'Sullivans) of snooker (which of course on this forum qualifies me as a grizzled snooker expert), I can honestly say that you must be sadly mistaken. Geez, that game is EASY. I saw that Thorburn guy miss a 12 footer off the headrail (just barely), but otherwise I didn't see anyone miss a ball.

Must be an awfully easy game.

Signed,
Gomer Pyle

P.S. - Thanks for the links, the vids were truly enjoyable viewing.

Darn... can't you host the actual files at rapidshare.de, or megaupload.com or a file hosting place?

I just *hate* youtube and others like it where you can't download the video, it makes me run screen caputuring software to grab them, but then quality goes down and its a pain....

Thanks for posting them though, at least we can watch them!

not to mention that youtube is very slow for me....

thanks again though, i'm not ungrateful for the links just generally PO'd at youtube and other "watch only" places.

MacGyver,
You can actually download the video from youtube in shockwave format using this website:
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php

You'll need a .flv player or a program to convert .flv files to mpeg or avi.

You can find free versions of these via a google search pretty easily or just google 'download youtube' and you'll find more ways and directions on how to do this.

Williebetmore:
*sigh*...you spotted my hidden agenda and discovered the crack in the evidence immediately. *grunts*:p

Wow... you learn something new everyday Colin... hehe here I was using screen capture and re-encoding.... looks like this will be a bit faster and better.

Thanks Colin,

Some amazing stuff there. He makes it look easy, like when Efren runs all 15 balls in rotation. I really enjoyed watching Ronnie O shoot.

The only real comparison was when Machine Gone Lou ran 150 and out on Hopkins in 23 minutes. He was running between shots.
