Richard Black Personal Cue.... So there is some history to this cue. This cue is the one pictured, cue w/ no veneers, it has traditional Hoppe ring (Ivory) and the inlay in the butt which is also Ivory and is signed and not dated making this cue from the mid 70's. Cue is in great condition, would rate at 8.5 out of 10. The inlay in the butt is called a Shmoo, it a cartoon from late 40's to 60's that Richard Blacks childhood enjoyed (Google Shmoo) and he put this character into the butt, RB played with this cue frequently, traveled with and made well, so people could test hit and try, Richard Black is very tall, so this cue was made longer than other RB cues, due to his stature, the butt is 29 1/2" in length excluding the rubber bumper. Original shaft was kept by RB from what I understand so cue will include a Jacoby Hybrid shaft with silver ring. Cue is very special and has a history that belongs to this Hall of Famer Cue maker. Hoppe Ring and Shmoo inlay is Ivory. Priced at $3600 obo. He did not sign his first cues, he felt he was not a good enough cuemaker to do so, this is one of the first that he signed and he made very special, so people, pro's, etc. could test hit, and feel it.
Weigh In:
Butt 16.29 oz.
Shaft 4.39 oz.

Richard Black Cue 1980 - This cue is one of the nicest here, Cue pictured w/ leather wrap, Black, Purple, Green, Natural veneers, ringwork is unique for most RB cues, doesn't have silver rings and comes with matching original shaft with Ivory Ferrule. Cue condition is 9.5 of 10 or better, Cue length of butt is 28 3/4" excluding rubber bumper and Original shaft is 29 3/16". Original shaft has very very slight roll only seen by looking at light underneath shaft on table when rolling, to be expected for a shaft that is 43 years old. Hard to believe this cue is that old, honestly looks NEW. Price is $3200 or you can try ordering one today from Richard Black, good luck.
Weigh In:
Butt 16.06 oz.
Shaft 3.89 oz.
Pics of this cue are further down, I have reached limit on this post. Likely to be on Page 2
Thank you for your interest.
Take a look at my other cues for sale as well I have a Jeff Prather, Pete Omen, 5 Richard Blacks (Hopkins Collection), New Schon LTD, Schon 1 of 1, David Jacoby, Phillippi Senior, etc..
-As a side note any Richard Black at this time is a good investment Richard Black is now in his 80s, just like Scruggs and many many others, when they're gone, $ will only go up, better then the stock market, this is guaranteed!
