Is there any player in the world who has the guts, money and or backing to play Efren Reyes, one pocket, even-up, a race to 15 for $25,000.00 each?

Efren is aging and his skills aren't what they once were but I am wondering if there is ANY player, anywhere in the world who would belly up to the table for this kind of money, this discipline and with no handicap.

I'm curious if ANYONE thinks that there is a person who has the talent and the money or backing to play Efren for this kind of money in the twilight of his career?

I think you will be getting a few bites on this Joey. I think Shane or Daz can get the backing for this.

Many players have the guts, none of them have the backing or the money. Why is a backer going to put anyone in the box against a player as experienced as Efren for that type of money? At best it's a 50/50 proposition as no one on the planet has to like it against Efren. Yes he is getting older but unlike most other players he stays action-fit by playing constantly. And if he is not gambling on pool then he is playing cards, playing chess or otherwise keeping his mind in action.

Efren will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come.

I could be wrong but I think that race would be too long for him. I would think there would be a few guys that could grind him down playing a race to 15.

If I had to pick, I would say Scott Frost.

I was thinking about Scott myself. He is camped out at Buffalo Billiards right now for the last week and will probably be around for a while. He is getting lucky giving up 17-4 to decent one pocket players winning big money.

I would pick Earl the Pearl

I think there is. I think you're gonna find them soon...are you putting this together or...?

The man your looking for is obviously Shane, has the money, has the guts, and has the talant. Say what you want about SVB doesn't play one pocket, I KNOW otherwise.

My vote is Shane.

best,

Justin

Scott told me at tunica to tell Ricky P he had 12-5. Ricky said he will take 13-5 and play. He has just recovered a diamond with pro-cut pockets, in Athens. Ricky might bet 25,000. If you will Joey send me Scotts number if he's interested.

Betting $50k is not for the faint haerted. There are only a few players who can do this. Scott is one. I also think Jeremy Jones could get in there but he'd prefer to play ahead set.

Did you say that RickyP from New Orleans, might bet $25,000?

Given how well SVB is playing one pocket these days I would not be completely shocked if Mars felt good enough to put him in the box for this. SVB has won more 1-pocket events then anyone else in the last couple years.
