I saw a fb reference to the 6 8 drill being tough. I've never heard of this drill. Can anyone provide any details as to what this is?

You practice from 6 am to 8 pm every day...one of the best drills ever to improve your game!

It called the 8 6 drill

8 ball spots on the headstring spot. 1 thru 6 balls spotted across the footstring line. You must pocket the 8 ball then the 1, then the 8 then the 2 and so forth. Great positional drill. Variation on this drill is the 1 thru 6 can be spotted in any order across the footstring line, making position a little more tricky, and the 8 can only be made in the headstring corner pockets. Have fun with this... Here is a vid.

I suppose that what you say about the 8 is a rule here, so my guess is FastMikie overran the cueball on his last shape on the black. Also I noted at once that the next step of this drill should be altering 4, 5, 6 balls positions in reverse order (numerical not from spot towards the cushion but vice versa). This way position on the 4 and 5 is more challenging and requires precision (at least in terms of staying on the right side)

I think drills are useful. However, it is bit disconcerting that almost all of the pros interviewed on the TAR podcasts have disdain for drills and claim they don't do them.
