Here is a typical practice session of mine. Always a miss or a scratch to end nice runs. Sometimes, it may be a run of 30, and then a miss and then another 30. It is something that I am working on but it is not easy.
All 8 break shots were normal break balls on the side of the rack.
The 1st & 2nd racks. Easy to follow with no problems. (the 3rd shot of the 1st rack. I push the 9 ball over to set up the break ball)
The 3rd rack. The first half of the rack was hard to open up clusters.
Once the rack got opened after some balls were pocketed. The 2nd half was easy to pattern out but I got too low on the rail with 4 balls to go and
it caused me to go into my key ball when I shot in the 3rd ball, instead of going around the key ball & break ball. Made a really good shot on a hard key ball to set up for a nice break shot.
The 4th rack again was easy, with no problems.
The 5th rack. I had four different combos that were all dead inside of the clusters. I did not want to disturb the clusters until I had too. Started to feel tight and I knew it. I should of took a break but I pressed myself. Ended up taking a shot that was not hard and bobbled it in the corner. There was a another ball that was easier in the other corner but I did not want to use the bridge. Should of took it.
Pushed in the ball that I missed and continued to run the balls. No problem finishing out the rack and setting up for a break shot.
The 6th rack broke out fine. Took a cut shot in the lower right corner and wanted to go up table for a ball on the upper rail but the cue ball caught the point of the side pocket, which sent it out of control. Still upset with myself but had no problems from that point finishing out the rack.
The 7th rack. After the break, made a nice long 2nd shot on a ball in the left lower corner and broke up a two ball cluster in the right lower corner. No problems from there.
8th rack::::: Scratched off the rack after making the break ball. End of Story.
