Looking for a 62 - 64 inch cue for a friend. he is willing to pay 400 - 500 for the cue. Show or tell what you have and i will pass the info on to him.

Thank you
Jeremy

Over 60" is hard to find/do!?

You might try Paul Allers.....he makes 60" cues as his standard playing cues but, he might be able to accomodate your friends request!?!? :)

Paul is a great person and makes a very nice playing cue >>>> Master of None here on AZ ;)

I had Arnot from Arnotq.com make me a 62" cue. It's a great cue, but hell to play with in any bar...tables are always too close together.

It's an abnormal size for sure!

The problem for me is that I don't have any stock shaft blanks longer than 30" so making a 62" cue isn't an option for me

Some of the cuebuilders on this forum might be able to make this size cue (which for somebody 6'3" or taller might be a reasonable size) from a square piece of wood but, it's definitely an unusually long cue and, I would guess a challenge to balance properly ;)

Best of luck in your search,

Ken :)

Also keep in mind if the shafts are not currently available its going to take some time to turn it to final size so your friend may be waiting a while if its to be turned from a dowel

Another option for your friend is to have an extension built for his cue. I have a 60" cue with a 5" extension between the shaft and butt (total 65"). It works great for me. I am 6'7" tall.

thanks all for the help

thanks to every one that replied even the jokers lol. anyone with more info or cues, new or used, would be great.

Tom coker will gladly make you one ... I have actually seen a 65" cue he custom built last year ... He said the customer was 6' 9" tall ...

I recently checked the standardized billiard rules and I believe there are no restrictions on length of cue for legal play. But where are you going to get a case?

"no restrictions on length", even for short cues? Such as a jump butt/handle? I thought I heard 42.5 or 45 inches somewhere. Oh well, not like I can jump any better with a 64 incher.... ;) ;)

62" cue

i have 1 full curly maple cue half done letting go for $350 see if you are interested

one last bump

Thanks again for the info I am passing it along. My freind had a sea otter and seal skin soft case for a cue a local cue maker made for him that was 62. The cue and case were stolen so he is looking for another. what do you guys think of a case like that. wish i had some pics to show.

There is another option. I had a customer who was very tall, and wanted a long cue, but we could not find one like he wanted. What we wound up doing, was finding a standard cue that he liked, and ordering a cue extension which fit between the shaft and the butt, and was made to match the joint diameters, etc of the cue. It worked very nicely. The extension was made by Joe Picone of Picone Cues, out of Delrin. Here is his contact info. I don't think the 4-6" extension was over $25-30 or so.

long cue

Have your friend go through my website (www.triplecrosscues.com). I may be able to accomodate the order for a long cue but it will take a little extra wait for the shaft.
