I have been following the brackets on the worlds pool tournament and watching the days highlights on you tube. Reminds me of being a little kid looking at the sports page for the box scores in baseball. What a great tournament!

Yeah, after having no World Championship event in 2020, it's nice to see pool back on the map. Matchroom is leading the way and reminding us that pool is coming out of the pandemic in one piece.

Had there done break/bih after...template rack on familiar table...woulda been way too easy for (most of the) players featured.

I miss the butt-ugly hotel carpeting under the table like in Derby City videos on Youtube. That should be a prerequisite when broadcasting pro pool.

Agreed, it's the most I've been interested in pro pool in a while now. I bought a DAZN subscription for the Masters for basically the finals match. I think I'll hang on to it for the rest of the year. For the most part, the commentary has been very good IMO. That's a big draw for me. Overall it's been a great production. The equipment has some issues, but there's been a lot of though and energy in how this is presented and it shows.

It's also weird for me in that I have almost exclusively watched pro pool from the Accu Stats platform except for the TAR years (I never paid much attention to the Mosconi). This is a great alternative. It pains me to entertain this thought, but I wonder what Accu Stat's succession planning looks like. Pat isn't slowing down at all, which is amazing when you think about it, but he isn't getting younger. I wonder what an asset sale to MR would look like. Matchroom having rights to the vast, invaluable Accu Stats catalog (which is slowly being uploaded to YouTube).
