bert asked the question, perhaps its going to be something implemented in the future

should the worlds woman and world jr champion get a spot in the world championships?

i voted yes as did most others, think that would be an excellent idea

Plus one

Jaspers is going crazy....I'm cheering for him

I’m a little surprised and disappointed that Sanchez isn’t in this stage.

They said nguyen hit a couple beauties to take that match deservedly

From berts page

The World Championships in Cairo had a somewhat boring opening day, but they are now in fifth gear. Favorites are flying out already.

- I feel sorry for Dani, he's always so strong when it matters most. But you have to say... those two glorious rail-first points by Nguyen in the latest stage of the match made him a deserving winner.
- I feel sorry for Eddy, no third world title for him (yet). But he simply was not at his best this week, and he'll be the first to admit that. Congrats Ruben.
- I feel sorry for Marco, who welcomed me in Bolzano last week and proved to be a phenomenal teacher. But Torbjörn was much the better player in this match.
- We've lost Murat, at the hands of Tayfun. Too bad one of you had to go.

What else will this week have in store for us? Four Vietnamese players in the last 16!
