putting table in garage but left garage door for now. bought a window ac unit. installer thinks 760 would be best choice - he said would slow down to close to 860 with a little time due to no insulation/garage door. expert opinions? thanks

It really depends on the humidity factor where your located. The 760 is faster than the 860, but in humid conditions it might even out to 860 speed more or less. But keep in mind the humidity effects the balls, as it clings to the balls as well and slows them down.

Nope, 760 is a blend of 70%wool, 30%nylon...humidity isn't really going to effect this cloth much, it's the same blend of wool/nylon used in the humidity resistant 860HR cloth, only thinner, so don't expect it to slow down the play to be that of 860;)

Just got through installing 860HR on my table a couple of days ago, and I am LOVING it!

Great cloth! Have been getting back into straight pool since I can get a decent roll on the table now. It's supposed to be between 860 and 760 in terms of speed, and it seems perfect for an 8' OS table. If I had a 9' table, I probably would have looked at 760 instead since straight pool is kind of where I'm headed...

Not sure where you live at, But I can tell you this I have a cheap 8' table in my garage with 860 on it and when it gets humid out there that table plays really weird. the speed of the cloth plays maybe 15% slower, cushions bank much tighter, The throw of the balls is crazy ! The balls actually are sweating and the cloth feels soaked lol.

I was actually thinking of putting my GC 1 out there and man I am glad I didn't. Its in my basement thank god. ;)

Really the only reason I have this table in the garage is for messing around on with my friends when were drinking
