Your turn at the table, you've got solids. What do you do?
(After some suggestions here I will post what Efren did when facing this layout)

BRKNRUN said:cut the 6 into the 7. (hanging the 6 around the corner pocket), then the 4-5-6-8...(assuming that the 5 can be played into the corner pocket..or off the 11 into the corner pocket)
Robbie said:I might even draw the cue ball back into the 5 and knock it out. I think the idea is the 5 wont go into that pocket. Should leave you with a shot on the 4 at the very least.
BRKNRUN said:I don't think I could draw into the 5 if the 6 is froze to the rail as it looks. (FOR ME) it is much easier to make the 6 cut into the 7 with inside english...meaning the CB is going away from the 5.
If I tried to draw off of the 6 I would probably scratch in the corner.
Again...This is all based on if I think the 5 goes in off of the 11
That's what I would have done also jude..I mean tried..lolJude Rosenstock said:What's more, you're jacked-up. That's a precision hit, even with a hanging ball in the pocket.
I'm gonna shoot for the moon here and propose this:

This was the shot Efren did, against Bustamante. The match is available on accu-stats, 8-ball Invitational, Efren Reyes - Fransisco Bustamante. There are 1 great safetyrack in that match too. Think the safetybattle lasts for almost 20 minutes!!!

I can't see trying that shot...
I am sure that MANY could hit the 6 toward the 11, but I don't think anyone can honestly say they can "control" the 6 (and CB) in that situation.
From my perspective, I see that 6 ball easily caroming off the 11 and heading toward the 5 ball leaving a bank or VERY long cut shot...and also the possibility of being hooked from the now long 4 ball shot.
I think Jude called it right when he said "shoot the moon"... If it where just about any one but Efren doing it, I would think that is exactly what they are doing...
However...Sometimes...Ya gotta do what Ya gotta do...![]()
Neil said:It worked for him, but if you don't make that 11 AND get a shot on the 6, well....just call yourself 'rackboy'.

Robbie said:From the diagram it doesnt seem too hard. 5 and 6 are both about a diamond and a quarter in, 7 is in the jaws. Are we saying the 5 and/or 6 are on the rail?
Just wanna know, printed this out, going to try it tonight, see out of 10, how many times i can get out like this.
