nice looking cue

Patrick

Mark's cue looks great. What does one like this cost and an approximate time frame to complete.

Kevin

Nice looking players cue there! Keep up the great work. Be sure to have Mark give us a review on this cue.

Wow Mark bought a cue without a S/S joint. What is the world coming too. As always great looking cue Doug!

First that is a fine looking Cue.

Question 1 Bocote?

Question 2 you don't take good Checks?
Cocobola.

Yes I do take checks. I just wait until they clear to ship cue.

Much appreciated for the VERY nice work, Doug!!!!

I will be sure to post up a review of the cue once I get it in hand....should be by Wednesday of this coming week.

Yep...a cue without a steel joint. I've come across two or three that I really liked (PJ SouthWest, Corey Barnhart, and my Callaluca)....and after watching some of Mr. Patrick's cues come out...and hearing about his customer service...I had to give one a try.

Doug has been GREAT to work with. Keeps you up to date on what's going on with your cue....quick to answer questions....and a real pleasure to speak with.

Can't wait to get it in, so I can take it for a spin.

Thank you much, Doug. Nice work!!:) :) ;)

I seen this cue a couple days ago, just before Doug put the wrap on and it looked great, and it wasn't even buffed yet!

I've said it again and I'll say it once more... the craftsmanship and playability makes Patrick Custom Cues one heck of a great players and collectors cue. They are very reasonably priced for now, pick one up while you don't have to wait 12+ months! He's got several cues in the works (including mine) and has some fantastic cues coming out in the future.

Mark,

Great looking cue....you always seemed to have something in the works..:D .. I have a sneaky in the works with another builder, and opted for a linen wrap just to mix things up....I'll post pics later...btw keep up the great work Mr. Patrick!!!

Just tryin' to keep ya sharp, Dale!!! :) ;)

I'm VERY pleased with how this cue came out. Doug was great to work with...and was ahead of schedule to get it done.

I bet you'll get a kick out of seeing the next one coming down the pipe!!! :) :) :)

Thank you everyone for all the nice words!! I have to say I have hit balls with Mark's cue, as I do with everyone that I build. I have to say that the Ivory joint with the Triangle tip hits very very GOOD! I hope that Mark likes the cue. Looking forward to getting his feedback.

Good looking pete Doug. The dashed trim rings give the cue a nice touch.

Martin

I have to agree ...

Doug is also building me a cue and has been a pleasure to deal with so far ... Keep up the great work Doug ...

Good looking cue. Congrats to both of you.

The highlighted part above confused me. Were you talking about another cue?

I'm pretty sure he meant Ivory FERRULE, Scott. I saw that, too...and thought for a second that he threw in a bonus!! :) :) I thought about it for a second, and remembered that I asked for an ivory ferrule to go on it. My material of choice, of course! ;)

I think maybe I need some sleep!!! LOL Ivory ferulle is what I meant.

Two Words:

AWESOME PLAYER !!!!

I'll post up a full review of the cue (tip to bumper) a bit later, when I have some more free time to sit down and type...but I will leave it at this for now: The cue Mr. Patrick made for me has a fantastic hit. I'd define it as "medium" in stiffness. Not too hard, and not at all mushy. The taper he uses is fantastic. A real "player's" taper.

I liken the hit to a flat-faced Jensen cue...and is also VERY similar to the cocobola BlueGrass cue I had last year.

All in all, the cue is VERY impressive...and Doug is a great guy to work with. He even shipped the cue to me via express mail, so I wouldn't have to wait another day to get it.

Two thumbs up for Doug. Thank you, sir!!!!! You put all the playability of a $1k cue into a $320 bundle. Can't argue with that at all!! :) ;)
