Congrats to Wu who's into the final against Nick Vandenberg tomorrow.

Dry break for Niels and Wu runs the rack. 7-5.....Wu breaks and runs the rack. 8-5. Wu breaks the Qball of the table, Niels gets a kick in the rack en Wu clears the table. 9-5. 10-5 for wu! Niels is broken by the loss but thanks all people for supporting him and the other players!
 
Despite having my Finnish heart ripped out by a Dutchman earlier this evening, I'll cheer for Nick in the finals like a madman ! Go Nick !!! Go Oranje people !! :cool: :D

Sheesh, never seen any coverage from 8-ball WC from 2004-> or never have heard anyone seeing any coverage. At least it's not widely broadcasted I guess. Would love to see those matches...
 
If you have a satilite and receives Dubai sports something you might see it live.

But the rack by rack report on www.poolnieuws.nl is the best we can do for now. Maybe next year!

Did anyone read exactly HOW Hohmann lost to Wu? I just read this from AZbilliards Latest News...

That is just crazy stuff. I don't think any pro player would lose this way, much less Thorston Hohmann! If that situation never happened, then we wouldn't be talking about Wu in the finals. I guess Wu is the man (or should I say boy) of desinty. He is just meant to capture both the World 9ball and World 8ball championships.
 
Hohman is superhuman for the way he reacted (or didn't react) after missing the shot. I bet 99%+ of the poolplayers would curse, frawn, or break something after missing such an easy shot at such a critical time.

This is the second time Hohmann presented taiwanese players with the victories because of an incredible error at critical moment this year - in the world game, he also lost to Chang Pei-Wei 10:11 at the final match.

Here's the latest:
15:41 Nick wins the lag and has a good break. He checks the table and runs the rack. 1-0 for Nick van den Berg. 51:44 Nick has a ball on the break but gets a though shot. Makes that shot but gets an even tougher shot and misses....15:46 Wu clears the rack 1-1. 15:51 Wu breaks the Q-ball of the table and Nick runs the rack 2-1 for Nick. 15:53 Nick doesn't get a ball on the break and lets Wu back at the table. 15:55 Wu takes his change and clears the table 2-2.
