Thanks guys...it's in awesome condition for its age and being a player...can anyone tell me what the wood other than the maple is? the butt weight is 17.4 oz if that helps id the wood...

The shafts are full 13mm and weigh 3.5 oz....20.9 total...haven't had a chance to hit any balls with it yet, I'll let you know how the weight feels...

Best thing you can do is to get it authenticated by South West. You have a beautiful cue there.

I have "twin" Franklin era SWs with same pin (larger hole). I find them to be "slightly" oversized compared to my other SW cues. Some 3/8x11 threaded shafts will not fit on these.

Hey guys...cue is on it's way to Laurie for certification and we're pretty confident we will be able to find the original spec sheet as I have all the original owners info ( he actually played with Jerry in the Southern Nevada 9 Ball association in Vegas ) but my question is to refinish or not...will it add or subtract to the value...it's in great shape with only a few finish bumps and the finish is worn on the shafts joint collars...the wrap is in great condition...what do you guys think?

The cue looks great to me, if you play with it, and by chance get's beat up, and the wrap starts to frey, then you might want to.

Kept everything original, no refinish or rewrap, SW did take care of the tips though...
