Nice to see. Congrats to Babe Cranfield on holding the record for so long, but I think Babe is smiling from on high today because he, more than anybody, appreciates what it takes to hold the table for 50+ racks.

Well done, Jayson!

Great feat but i still think runs IN COMPETITION carry far more weight. Runs over 200 in a tournament are tougher than shooting with no one shooting back. Don't get me wrong, this is still mighty impressive display.
While I agree with this, it won't matter because straight pool tournaments are a thing of the past. That said, absolutely stunning achievement, past, present or future. Big congrats to Shaw.

If a 200 and out is run in a tournament, no one is shooting back anyway.

This is unreal. I can't even fathom the focus and mental stamina it takes to run almost 60 racks consecutively. Wow. Does anyone know how it ended?

same as in 9ball. you know what the fk i meant. missing in these has no ramification, you just re-start.

832 is inconceivable.

I've mentioned this before in many Fargo related threads and it's worth mentioning again -- pool is way more binary than we like to think. At the top levels, the game approaches mastery. You can either play it masterfully or you cannot. It stands out clearly on the bar table, where pros never miss. When top players play each other on the bar table, it's just variance that determines the winner. That's sort of the point where our rating systems fall apart. This is where the powers that be have to stay ahead of this issue. So far, the WNT have but I'm seeing some early signs of trouble.

Just an unreal masterful feat for Shaw.
