About time, been looking forward to this movie for a long time. I'll buy the dvd.
:D

Hmm Just saw the trailer. Girls hustling in pool is something quite unrealistic to me. HMMMM... I'll probably get the dvd just to see the Black Widow do her thing.

If this is to help promote the game,God help them.I just watched
the trailer and thought that Kraft products must have sponsored
something this cheeeesey.Everybody that thought pool is a dieing sport
was wrong,its officially DEAD.

Totally agree. This is such a farce. I mean, did they even have to be cheesy with the TITLE?! I'm ashamed to be a pool player sometimes.

No action here.

As counter-intuitive as it sounds, pool needs a movie with a great story and an iffy player more than an good player that they hope can act. If we hope Hollywood can help the game it will have to be a big budget, Matt Damon style movie to do it. Purists loving a movie doesnt bring back the interest. Color of Money proved that but at least there was a fairly consistent thread of truth there. Heck, The Hustler's back drop was the pool but that is all that everyone remembers. I dont mean to be a pesimist because anyone that tries to promote the game (like these guys) is a friend of mine but I hope they dont bet the farm on this one being a ressurection.

I will buy it to support pool but this has to be the corniest shit I have ever seen. Has to be the worst trailer in the history of trailers. Just being honest sorry if I offend anyone involved.

Seems like a bizarro world movie.

In The Hustler & TCOM you had actors pretending to be pool players and here you have pool players pretending to be actors :groucho:

Is anyone going to the premier? If you go please give us a review.

It sounds like a great movie premier; in Baltimore on Tuesday, November 20th no less. That's about a 40-minute drive from me.

I hope the person who put up the funds is rewarded for his effort. It is heartbreaking to pour your heart and soul into something and have it not received well. Ex-smokers are the worst critics to those who smoke.

As such, in 1986 when we saw the TCOM movie, a group of us from the pool room, we all left the movie theater criticizing some of the scenes as being fake, but we're pool people. Mainstream America wouldn't catch some of those things.

Personally, I thought the quality of the film itself was excellent. I liked the female players as actors. I thought the men actors were kind of stereotypical of bad guys.

All in all, it looks like a first-class production. I wish them much success!

I agree, I dont see this movie promoting anything. Looks cheesey. Im still looking foward to Lionsgate making the movie about Danny Basavich, Now that would be a good movie.. The rumor was that Jack Black was going to play the part of Danny...It still in the works so you never know..

I would buy a how to video on underwater basket weaving as long as Jennifer Baretta was in it.

Maybe it keep the pool hall from falling like flies here in md like the color of money and pool hall junkies did:rolleyes:

Looks pretty good to me! It's hard to judge much from a short trailer.

Am I to understand it will never be in theatres (other than the premier)?

You can support the movie by buying the DVD. I wonder if it will be available on iTunes? Otherwise, without serious promotion campaign, it will just be here on AZ and word of mouth.
