I've been thinking about it for awhile and finally got the ball rolling. It was easier than I thought. If your on the fence about starting in your area just get out there and players will respond. I'm probably going to end up with 2 ten player brackets out of Red Shoes. The word is spreading fast in Chicago and it looks like Chris's may get a group as well.I really applaud those that are getting involved in playing American Rotation.
This is something that joe tucker created - after several years of talking through different rules and formats.
It is perfect for local players to be able to compete on a national system at a very Reasonable and flexible schedule and cost.
Here is the opportunity for those that complain about 7' tables. This is a 9' league/competition.
Congrats to Chicago and St. Louis for getting involved. If we can get this to the full 64 rooms, I think it comes out to 4-6 national events- each with up to around $60k in prizes.
This could become the future 'pro tour' in US.
So get involved!
Get Hold of Joe Tucker.
If this fails - the players have nobody but themselves go blame!
Joe has busted his butt for 2 years- at a tremendous use of personal time and we have invested over $_______in making this happen.

So what are the full details of the league? Cost? Handicapping? Start and end dates? It looks like there isn't necessarily a specific league night. I would have a really hard time swinging a full league session, but I would love to try to find a way to make it work.
10 players in bracket.
9 matches x $20= $180
$40 for first 4 matches
$20 for 5th match
Reason for payment schedule is so we can pay national entry on time.
Last three matches/ no league fee
There will be a small greenfee with every match. This fee will cover 1 hour practice time before match and the complete match as well, usually 2-3 hours.
John Lavin and I are sitting down tonight to talk about it.
First place get trip to Vegas to compete in nationals that is taking place at BCA national event. Prize money paid out to 1st to 4 th place
This is a scratch league, no handicaps
You play your matches when ever is convenient for both players. Official start date is March 9 th

well, speaking for myself, it's easier to pay by the week seeing thatGreat post... I'd just add to just remember every Bracket coordinator (in different areas of the country) will have different more efficient ways to collect match *(bracket) fees...
The best way imo is (like every tournament you've EVER played in), is to collect upfront for easy accounting for everyone. We accept Paypal here in the Charlotte area, that way players can work out there own financial arrangements at any pace they chose. Everyone can then focus on why you are in the pool hall to begin with.... Shooting a clean healthy game for a change, getting better, helping others and Making new friends.
Build it right and the rest will fall into place.
