Thanks for the comments guys, it is owned by a friend of mine in NY, it was bought in around 70' or 71' by his dad straight from George.

What's even more amazing is that the same exact inlay would show up in a Palmer 5 years later in the Peter Margo series of cues. Last cue to the right on the page.

Yes I did notice that, one thing about Palmers is they copied much from George and Frank Paradise in many of the cues I have seen. I mean who originally made the notched diamond inlays and put them in cues? Do you think this cue pictured here is a Palmer?

I thought it.

The cue looks refinished and the buttcap looks like new. Palmers can be played with to give the appearance of Balabushkas.
X-ray it and you will know it is a Balabushka. The prigional owner may have his reciept. That is the best.
The veneer work is not Palmer. The differant outside veneer colors are very odd.
Nick :)

Not saying that at all. As Tate has said, George was a customer of Balners. However, these inlays would not match the timeframe of the dates listed.

You know this might be hard to believe but there was a point in time people actually played with their cues.
