I think on the right cue they can look decent. Here's a cue I used to own:

That said, I know ringtail can be pretty polarizing.
 
Lenny, you should buy a leather from Martin and send it to Joey, great quality and he has loads to choose from. The PH leather I have seen doesn´t give the cue the right "quality" look imo.

It will be fun to see the finished cue!

I might have it rewrapped here if I do not like the one on it. Martin does have some very nice wraps though. I have a local guy here who does very good wrap work for me when I need it and very affordable too. I am thinking a black lizard print would look nice on it. Will post the finished pics and see what everyone thinks of the wrap on it when its done. This is the wrap that is on my current cue from Joel and it feels pretty good, it is the first cue in the picture.

Great designs. I like the cues.

I am really a big butterfly fan and to see all that come together with the butterflies is right up my alley.

I usually leave the taper alone, its a long taper usually which I am okay with. I might do a tip change and have the shaft taken down a hair but that is all.
