A flyer to get off two fouls

I thought I'd share this shot because we got a laugh out of it when it went in at about 100 mph. I don't know how I saw it as a possibility, and I sure don't know how it went so cleanly and like a rocket, it was just laying perfectly.

I pulled this find off yesterday. I was on two fouls and my opponent left the layout below. I tried to make the shot lay as close to as it is shown on the cuetable layout.

Before I say which one it was, you might like to look the rack over and see if you can find anything close. I'll post which one it was in a little while. :)

I must be missing something...why not shoot the 1 in? Unless this is a discussion on 1P and the 1 is in your opponents hole?!?!

I'm gonna guess...8/2/10 off the 4 into the 5...off the 12...15 in the corner.

LOL mosconiac ( the one is in the pocket I'm not too good with that program)

But .... you came close, it was 8 - 2 -10 off the 4 - 5 and the 12 was in the side pocket directly off the 5 ball combo. We had fun with it. :)

fancy shmancy. but couldnt you just play the one and crank the cueball off the rail into the pack? i'm very risk averse when it comes to straight pool. if i dont have a sure thing in the rack, i tend to play safe and let the other person take the risk.

I'm sorry guys, I meant to have the one in the pocket. I fixed it. :( sorry about that

I had just come back from a bathroom break and Joe says: "You're not gonna believe this". He calls the shot and I ask if he would mind if I look. No problem. So I get right behing the side pocket. There is NO WAY this shot can be made. He doesn't say but I will tell you the sides on this table play tough. Very few shots drop when shot hard. As if shooting an eight ball break shot he lets it go. The ball drops in in the blink of the eye..
Joe gets shots out of the rack like nobody's business.
Great shot Joe.

OK, but what I want to know is what happened after this shot. Sometimes (usually?) when you hit them that hard in 14.1 you get bad clusters and funny layouts, and you can't get through the rack. So wha' happun? :p

Well Dan, let me tell ya ..... nuthin special. :) Nobody ran any big numbers that day. I think we were only in the 20s and 30s. Come to think of it, nobody runs big numbers much at all when we play ... LOL

I think my recent high run playing was a 46 and Steve had a 64 or 65 recently. The thing is we often put a few of those 20s and 30s back to back on each other so it's damaging all the same. :)
