I really have to stop posting on this forum. For every minute I spend here, my game declines for at least an hour.

I've met a lot of great users on this forum, but there's far too much boasting, arguing and involvement in silly pissing contests.

I don't want to fall into the trap of becoming another one of the know-it-all wanabee pros. Debating the minutiae of a simple pastime, forgetting it's just a great game. Most importantly, sitting here typing when I could be at the table playing so,

To anyone who may have taken something good from one of my posts, I'm glad that I could help in anyway. Best of luck with your game!.

To the old crows who sit in the shadows and peck at my ass, (and you know who you are), I say get over yourselves. You're legends only in your own minds.

The more you learn the more you realize that you know nothing at all.

I always find it curious the need to make a post like this. Just post, or don't post but why the parting shot? These boards run their course for most people just as watching your once favorite TV show does. I used to never miss even a rerun of Northern Exposure, but now you would have to tie me down to get me to sit through an episode, everything just gets old after a while. You obviously don't have to read threads that don't interest you or posts by people who annoy you.
 
The only thing I hate about this forum ...

is that it keeps me from getting my housework done .... lol

It is good to remember that 'troublemakers' are the reason
that we see a lot of progress. At least they are speaking
their minds honestly. Of course, you need to have manners
when you do that nowdays though ...

Everyone will not agree with you, and likewise everyone will
not disagree with you, but if they do, you need to reflect
some more on your thoughts ....lol

And then you can sing, nobody loves me, everybody hates me,
I going out and eat great green gobs of greasy grimey gopher guts...

This forum is a lot like shooting Pool, egos get in the way of
having a good game sometimes ....
 
Brian I really hope you are not angry because myself and a few others disagreed with your views on pool. One of the best parts of this forum is having debates about pool that remain civil and without insults. When you have a debate, people who are learning the game see both sides and they can gain knowledge from it. And just like someone else said, why even bother announcing that you are leaving if you've made 30-something posts. Nobody cares.

It's the middle school level of maturity like this that turns people off from message boards. For every one decent civilized post you have, you've got 5 more like this that make it impossible for you to be tolerated. At one point I was going to add you to my ignore list & decided to give you a chance. Not that you care, but you're the newest member on my ignore list.

When you post, you need to say "I" because you do not and will not speak for me & I'm sure there's many more on the board that do not want you speaking for them either.

Ok, Miss Prim and Proper. It's people like you, control freaks, who drive people away. This sounds like a case of pool mediocrity frustrations being projected towards me. You must have some deep, dark anger that's causing you to bash every one of my posts. Maybe that's why you don't post your picture. Did you respond to Macguy's and LastTwo's posts, because they essentially said the same thing, only nicer? Get a grip. :rolleyes:

oh Lord.....Control freak? I've noticed that she is not the only one that has bashed your posts on repeated occassion... There are several people that cannot stand the sewage that pours from your mouth (keyboard, whatever)...

oh, btw - her picture has been posted on more than one occassion, she is a very attractive person that would throw rocks at you if given the chance. Your best bet would be with the crackwhore on the corner.

Interesting choice of words, Splinterhands, a phrase recently used by another poster.

Timberly posts under her own name, and make no mistake about it, she is a genuinely nice person who has a great deal of passion for the game. I value her contributions to this forum and look forward to seeing her on the tournament trail. She's a joy to be around. Just ask anybody who has ever met Timberly, and you will hear nothing but good things about a positive and upbeat person. Pool needs more folks like Timberly. This forum needs more posters like Timberly. And what it doesn't need is a bunch of trolls creating havoc on a pool-related forum for the sole purpose of flame wars. JMHO, FWIW!

There are things being said on this board that are negative and the people saying them don't represent the board or even the feelings and thoughts of the majority.

It is exactly this sort of childishness that makes the best argument for moderation of the board.

Oh, puleeze. You say "get over yourself"? You accused me of making false assumptions about your game, yet not once in any of my posts did I make any assumptions. Read them and show me. Oh yeah, that's right... your leaving. We didn't even get into a pissing contest and flame war, and your bailing when we had what I consider a damned good opportunity for learning. Too bad.

It's also too bad you couldn't see this board for what it is: a discussion and sharing board. We're not all going to agree. Why would we? Maybe if you realized that, you'd pay attention to your following quote:

Well, I must say that I agree with Ross and JAM about Timberly. And I'd hardly call her "Miss Prim and Proper"! LMAO! :p And may I ask WTF posting a picture proves??? I don't see you boys posting to each other orders to "post your picture". As I stated once before, the dating forum is around the corner. We are here to discuss pool...you can only use one shaft at a time. Please pick one. Thanx.

There were no "Keyboard Commandos." Anyone who's had the decency to read these boards can go back to the discussion (Learning English) between Brian, LastTwo, and myself to see if there was any such thing. It was a disagreement. One of the parties decided to argue against phantoms and obviously take things all personally.

Your comments to say "Ignore Em" suggest that there's validity in Brian's claim. I want to set it straight. If you read the posts, you'll agree that there was none.

Pardom me Fred, I was just saying if Brian was leaving because he was offended, he should just ignore what bothers him, and say a while longer.

This was not pointed at you are anyone else just a general statement....
 
Ignore Thread

Is it possible to put a worthless thread on ignore so that I don't have to keep scrolling past them to get to the actual pool threads???

Anyone know how to do that???
