A Hall of Fame for posts

I love these hallowed forums here on AZB. I seldom post but read them everyday like others read a newspaper. Over the years, I've often marveled at how some of the posts have funny & clever things that make you laugh and others have such stupidity in them that you just shake your head. After accidentally reading the now infamous "A none murdered animal cue please" page one and not being able to withstand the temptation to respond in kind, I would like to ask the AZB members if we should have our very own HOF for the "memorable posts" or something that some of you could say would warrant such recognition. For the 1st nominee, I would like to nominate whitey2 for post #191 on the aforemenntioned thread in the "Funniest post" category. (See thread #1 & my response to thread #1 in post #187 to fully appreciate the genious that is whitey2)

I think its even funnier that he misposted a comment about Shannell in that thread!!! that girl is wreacking havoc on us all

I was actually just thinking the same thing last night. Particularly about that great video on breaking. I forget who made it (was it Colin?) and I'm too lazy to search right now. It would be great if things like that were easy to find.

I totally agree, however I think the Hall Fame category should also include, the following.

1) The most helpful / useful thread / post.
2) The funniest thread / post.
3) The gayest thread / post.
4) The worst / least Useful thread / post.

Maybe the winner of one of these areas, could have a special identifier added to their user name for a period of one year. So that everyone will know their contributions good, Bad, or outlandish.

All members could have the opportunity to nominate a thread for one of these areas, people / threads would be chosen by a vote of the membership at the end of each year. This could be a great way to thank those who contribute to the forum in a positive manner, and to help those who do not contribute to have a sense of humor and learn to laugh at themselves which we all need to do sometimes.

Well the gayest thread would definitely have to be the one where Marissa unveiled her "two guys kissing" avatar! That was pretty damn gay if you ask me. :D

I would like to nominate Bernie Friend for the worst/least useful thread. Just pick any one, and I am sure it deserves to be nominated for this category.

Why do you even come here if you consider them hollowed?

And also, if you get so offended by a thread just because a person doesn't think the same way you do, im sorry to tell you but you have problems.

A forum has more room if it's hollow.

Bob <-- picturing ivy and hymns surrounding a server farm somewhere in the Phoenix area, maybe with the ivy growing up saguaros .

I thought he was saying the forum is hollow minded.

If you routinely misunderstand what other people mean in their posts, it is a mistake to respond to what they post. I think you may want to pause with your posting for a while and go back and read what has already been written here. Whatever kind of person you are in real life, your posts on AZB have made you look like an aggressive, obnoxious, deceptive buffoon. I assume that's not the kind of impression you want to give.

Bob

bob, what i said about the op is also related to the things he said in the other thread.

and the things he said on this thread also made me think what he said was meant to mean hollow minded.

i would not have thought this if it was someone who's been peaceful and friendly.

And i have not insulted anyone on this thread, how am i aggressive?

seb9,
Since you are new to our planet, let me try to explain something to you. Not that you would understand or agree, after all, you have disagreed with everyone else on this thread. Here goes...
Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006.
American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source hal·low (hāl'ō) Pronunciation Key
tr.v. hal·lowed, hal·low·ing, hal·lows

To make or set apart as holy.
To respect or honor greatly; revere.
So, when I used the word hallow, I mean these threads are important & significant to many of us. I did not say nor mean hollow, as in some people's heads.
Before you continue to embarrass yourself, why don't you invest in a "Hooked on Phonics" course.
Take care! (No, I did not suggest you take a car. I was wishing you well. Not as in a well like the one in your backyard, but well, as in good.)

Oh yea, I almost forgot....Your last quote, "...if you get so offended by a thread just because a person doesn't think the same way you do, ...you have problems."

I am not offended in any way by any of these threads. Quite the contrary, because 99.9999999% of the other posters don't think like you do, WE all have problems. At least according to you and that fertile mind of yours. :)

a best/worst post could be a good thing for azb, maybe could do them weekly/monthly/yearly and even possibly azb sponsors could offer them prizes?

i'd like to see a hall of fame section on here but instead of posts it would include any poster that has died, guys like frank glenn, dave syria, and tom ferry would be members, i think this would be really great and add something unique to azb to show that it is more than just a web site and in a way immortalize these guys

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that you really don't know why that's the way you are perceived. I hope you will agree that the reaction of many people here to your posts seems to indicate that you are rubbing them the wrong way. You may want to try to learn for yourself why you get that reaction from people. Why does seb9 have problems while others do not?

OH GOD, Not another Homophobic!!! Did you know that most gay bashers are closet homosexuals? The ones who hate them and kill them only realize this when they are imprisoned or become a minister. I have been married to the same woman for 32 years, I hate no one. You might want to get some counseling yourself.

Bob,
I hope I have not come off as if I was being rude or ignorant to our gentle poster seb9. This has been a comical thread for the most part and I personally am only trying to get people to laugh a little with some of my sardonic comments. Sometimes, I'm the only one who thinks I'm funny.....

By the way, what does the OP stand for in you recent rebuttle to seb9 quoting my post? I would assume it means "Original Post(er)"?

Thanks again for loving our great sport.
Terry
