I was so happy with my last Prather blank, and how it turned out, that I asked Jeff to do another for me. He found me a great piece of wood, and I am really quite happy with the result. I didn't think it was possible, but I think this blank is even nicer than the last one!

I was in a hurry to snap some pics while the sun was still out, so they aren't gallery quality, but you get the general idea.

Those green veneers are super bright! Very nice pick up Lisa. Infact, I just placed an order for my Prather blank. =o] They do great work and really have unsurpassed customer service. Looking forward to seeing your cue when it's all done.

John Nemic, the engineer/cuemaker,who made the deano cues for me that I like so much, bought some Prather blanks and was very pleased, the one I am using along with my deano original is very nice.I recomend Prather to you.

Thanks Rex! Since I actually had Jeff build me this one, I requested the green veneers. In my mind's eye, with the right piece of tulip, I knew it would work. I don't think Jeff was so sure...LoL...but he was convinced once he had it all done.

I have been wanting/searching for a nice Tulipwood/BEM full splice for several years now...and I finally have it...and really could not be happier.

I have a couple of very specific things in mind for this one, and will update once it's completed.

I cannot say enough about the folks @ Prather...they certainly aim to please, and do great work. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality blank or cue.

Great looking blank Lisa. Please keep us update with pics & specs as its going through the build process. Looks like a very nice piece of tulp also.

Great piece of Tulipwood! The green looks very natural against it, as it does next to all of the rosewoods imo. Will have a nice soft glow under finish.

Thanks for the kind comments!! Considering how difficult it is to find a decent piece of tulip...especially in the longer lengths, I really couldn't be happier. I am very picky when it comes to tulip...has to have the right figuring and color.

The green in the veneers is called Moss Green. I just kept seeing it against the right color tulip and knowing it would work...and it did! I think I am even more excited about the potential of this blank than perhaps even the last one I had completed. It will definitely make for a nice addition to my 'collection' of wrapless full splice players. :yeah:

Well Lisa, Ive found the perfect combo. And the perfect person to do the job. Here is pic of the tad ring in butt of my cue. I think it would look fantastic. The cuemaker is chad mclennan. I put it together to see what you think. No! Wait! I want this cue:eek:

I was going to ask you who you wanted to finish the cue for you. Let us know because i'd love to see this cue finished and who you got to do the work.
