I sold the Phantom

Should have kept it. I guess I'll sell my last couple players and keep them monsters.

Brian,

Great set of cues! I believe I owned the Cocobolo one on the left with
m.o.p. inlays. I played with it for 1 1/2 years, loved the way it hit.
I traded it to Grassley in Louisville in Jan '06 as part of 8-10 cues that traded hands between us.
I acquired it from Dan Tull, owner of Shooters Olathe.

Again, nice cues!

All nice Brian, but the Phantom is super cool!
Thanks for showing

TS cues

Man I bet you have a hard time choose in which one to shoot with,
I sure no I would. Nice collection

Birdseye player!

love that plain jane birdseye, if you ever want to sell it shoot me a pm

You have a good eye. That was my player for over 20 years then had Mike refinish it and change the butt cap that had the old logo on one side and the name Bill Janes on the opposite side. Then i put it up for 10 years or so before selling it to Brian. I love all of these Scruggs cues and the ones that i have the pleasure of owning. Enjoy my friend.

Long before there were a few hundred cuemakers, there was Tim Scruggs and about ten others. This was the mid to late 70s. You are absolutely correct.

Hi Bob;

yes, that TS delrin buttcap with "Bill Janes" inscribed is sitting right here on my desk.

I use it as a pen holder. :)

btw, this cue, your former player, is a testament to your good taste in cues. It plays fantastic, and especially so with the curly maple shaft. man-o-man! :thumbup:

wonder if bill is related to dan janes...?

thanks, again.

best,
brian kc

Hi Will;

Glad to know I have one of your former player ts cues.

The timing is right because I bought id from cornerstone at sbe in March 2006.

the pearl inside the ivory boxes are actually gold-lip pearl. looking straight on it looks like mop but as you turn it they go deep gold. :cool:

love this cue -

in your honor I took it out yesterday and hit a few racks with it. it's fancy *and* it plays strong.

was going through some cases yesterday and realized I missed one. :o

I actually love this particular cue with its simplicity and d-e-e-p cocobolo. the old schon shaft had matching ringwork done and provides a great plan b.

thanks all for the nice comments.

best,
brian kc
