A new case I finished up today

Super nice! I am very sure the owner (ahem ahem) cannot wait to get it on his hands!!! ;)

I can't wait for you to get it! I put it in the mail this morning so hopefully around a week from now you'll have it.
Bruce, here's a picture of the tubes, it was taken before it was completely finished but you get the idea.
Thanks everyone for all the nice comments!

thanks rusty!!!!

Terrific idea on the seam for this 2x2 design, I really-really like it. If I was in the market for such a case I don't see myself opting for any other layout than that of this very case. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

DAYUM - that is CLEAN!!!!! I love the little detail with the d-ring, excellent move there!!!!

Looks good enough to eat!:)
Thanks so much Jack, your opinion really means a lot to me. It was the case I bought off of you in Sep. 07 that inspired me to try my hand at making a case or two. I still have it and take it out of it's bag once in while just to fondle it for a while then back in the bag it goes.

Thanks John, I appreciate it! I used the long rectangle ring to help it from sticking out so far and just used leather to make the one that attaches to it. I thought the case had a nice simple look to it too, I may go back to making a few more with the side seam. Since I've started using the wood in the tops and bottoms it's made it much easier to get the lid to fit the odd shape the side seam creates and still be nice and snug.
Thanks to all that have posted, it's great to hear all the nice comments!

Beautiful

Here's one that I just finished up that I thought looked pretty nice so I thought I'd show it off. I made it with just the seam on the side instead of using a back panel and I think it gave it a nice clean look on both sides this way. It's a 2x2 tube style and I made a small clip on pouch to go with it.
