I bet those hurt your ears on the break! Kinda pretty though but the best part would be seeing what's going on behind you while your shooting!

But since we're talking new games may I suggest Texas One Shot. Based on 9ball, no new equipment is needed, it is free to play and it brings a new concept(you don't have to make a ball to shoot again, just make the 9ball move after touching the lowest object ball). Coolest part is I get to sell 'Phat Rack Lover' shirts!

Outlawing jump shots is one thing, but masses? The most beautiful and crowd pleasing shot in pool? Not only is it a bad idea, but also unenforcable. I’m not going into detail as to why, if you know the game at a high level, you’ll instantly know.

I’ve played almost every cue sport there is: 7, 8, 9 and 10 ball, straight pool, straight rotation, one Pocket, Chinese 8 ball, blackball, Danish pin billiards, world rules, snooker, carom and even pyramid once, many of these games I’ve played,at a decent level. Every game has unique challenges and its own charm, but getting people to try a game with new equipment is always an uphill challenge. It is hard to believe that there Are any unexplored aspects to cue sports left that is not in some way included in one of these other games. Getting people on here to front you money is going to be even more of a challenge. This forum has been plundered, raped and pillaged by con-men and used car salesmen more times than Poland has been invaded. It will take more than a tap on the shoulder for us to drop our panties.

I actually thought this was going to be good theater. Shit, they realized nobody was falling for it and bailed.

I'm not convinced there is any desire out there for a new game but if you want to play something new try Texas One Shot. No new equipment required and it is smart like one pocket. It is fun, can be a quick game and it is great for showoffs and strategists alike!

I hope they put a little flat spot on each ball so it easier to get a tight rack! It's frustrating to rack and have a ball roll out a tenth of an inch(2mm) when you lift the rack.

sounds good, i’ll try it out-
why does it have to be about
(one of the fifty states)?
Thanks, I hope you find Texas One Shot fun. The game could easily been called Ride the 9 or Carom 9ball or even just One Shot but the game was created in Texas and we have big egos. My hope is the game will do to pool and more specifically 9ball what Texas Hold'em did to poker- make it main stream. Not that pool needs any help, it is played and loved world wide. I believe Texas One Shot is as fun as pool can be. It is very smart like 1pocket but fast like 9ball. I find it very pure too, trying to find the shortest way to win. It is a ripoff of 9ball. It changed the reward system from making a ball to shoot again to merely moving the 9 get another shot. It sounds like it would easier than 9ball and for true players it likely is but for bangers moving the 9 which is half the size of each of the 6 pockets it can be more challenging than making a ball. Players are trying to controll three balls almost every shot instead of two. Plus the game by it's nature pulls on all the skills required to be good in pool making it truly a game for showoffs. Defense is possible and can be devastating.
Like 9ball, you must hit the lowest ball on the table first- if the 9ball goes in you win, if the 9ball moves you shoot again and if the 9ball does not move your turn is over. Very simple rules.
Please try the game and let me know what you think. It's free and the complete rules are online, even how to rack a Phat Rack. Phat Rack Lover t-shirts are available thru TeePublic

And if you pot a ball, but don't move the 9?
