Guess It could be worse:D I'm only 37, but have alot of grey;) I was born in 1969. My brother was born on my birthday exactly ten years apart to the day in 79. Most people find that unusual. One nice thing about it is whenever I forget how old I am, I just ask his age and add ten years to It.;) :p

I find it interesting that 1/3 of the responders are 51 or older, of which I am one. I thought it would be a younger crowd.

Wow! My brother and I are 2 years apart to the day as well!!!

Youth is a period of missed opportunities...

All I know is I'm finally tall enough to ride the ride.

Sounds to me like some guys are getting it onced a year whether they need it or not. I have 2 boys who are 3yrs and a week apart, but I think one of them was a week early......

Oh and for the younger guys hoping to learn from our "wisdom" here's my take. The only reason I know I'm getting older, is because I have more aches and pains than I did when I was in my 20's. Aside from that and not being an angry young man, I haven't changed much.....mentally, I'm greyer, fatter, and slower than I was, but I still got most of my hair and all my teeth...:D
If I knew I was going to be this aquainted with pains, when I was an 18 yo adrenaline junkie, I might have been a real pansy.....It's better that you don't know what's coming. Some of life's lessons must be learned the hard way

Wow, that's amazing I am just the opposite.

I am 56, spend my mornings reading the obituaries making sure I am not listed. Waiting to be able to shoot my age in golf, unfortunately, I need to play better or get healthier.

Koooool Deal:) It had some disadvantages for me too I suppose, One- had to share My birthdays, but also had to always get the kind of birthday cake My brother wanted instead of what I wanted;) Guess he sqealed more then I, and You know the one about the wheel getting oiled:p :D:D, Well I always wanted a brother back then, so I got one for My 10th B-day LOL.

37...for a few more months with a few more grey hairs coming in daily! Arghhhh!

if all of the players in the 46-61+ range had started playing when they were my age (21), they would have a collective 3700ish years of billiard experience to share. thats why i'm here :D

Urgent Correction

I responded to the poll in the 61 + catagory but have recently received a letter from my birth hospital in Akron, Ohio. They regretted to inform me that a slight clerical error occured in the birth certificate. I was not born in 1943 but in 1963. Hence I am really in my 40's.

Well, how old do you feel?

'MY' Hospital Has NO Record Of My Being Born

I'm 53 but I try to not make comments about my condition for fear of jinxing myself.

I remember a 70 year old Italian man I used to work with, Marcello, a real character, who used to run arund the office bragging that his doctor told him his organs were like those of a 20 year old.

He was dead within 5 years.:(

Chris

Tate that brings back an unusual memory similar to your post. My uncle was always an outgoing fellow with plenty to say and plenty to do. My Dad whose nickname was Jake was old when he was 43 and looked like a wrinkled raisan at the age of 62. My dad and he were similarly aged and he always liked to tease my dad and barked at him, "Jake, look at you, you're all wrinkled up and worn out. Look at me (patting his rather round stomach & consecutively stroking his unlined rotund face,) I'm the picture of health. You gotta start eating some real food." 6 months later Uncle Freddy was dead and dad lived on to the ripe old age of 76.

Never going to put the kiss of death on anyone, including myself. :D :D

Yay! Pool is not dead among the youth!

Yay! Pool is not dead among the youth!

I noticed there was just a vote in the youngest section. There
is hope for the future of pool!

When I was in the Navy we had a base commander that was really into physical fitness. He finally instituted a mandatory everyday physical regimen for everbody. He died of a heart attack while running three weeks later. Program ended the next day. Some things just make you wonder.

I hear ya. I got my usual strenuous workout today, when I drove the 16 miles to the poker room and back (while eating a Big Mac)...
