A strange phenomenon...

Yeah...

How much is a gallon of gas in the USA?

What makes me laugh is people complaining about gas prices. It would cost around $10 dollars per gallon here :(

however, your entire country is the size of my state.

I drive more for work in a week than it would take you to go three times across your country.

Only on AzBilliards is going to strip clubs considered the norm. Wow! LOL

Have you ever been to a strip club JAM.

Myself I have been to a strip club. I have won a fair amount of money in strip clubs playing pool from both customers and owners, I even got barred out once for not tipping, I told the girl I was there to play pool. That did not go over well with the young lady who I had not even noticed until she demanded a buck be tucked.

The last time I went to one there were a fair number of females in the audience who were customers not dancers on break. Each to there own.

Yo - AZ have you been to a strip club?

Pidge, gas in the states averages @ $3.50/gallon right now. I don't know where you live (Grassington? UK?), but at $10/gallon, I'm peddling a bike or riding a small cc motorcycle!
Lol yeah luckily for me I work from home. It costs me £130 to fill my car, which isn't too bad seeing as it usually lasts me a month easily. So many logistics companies being forced out of business because of the prices though. They tax the high heavens out of the stuff.

I've always wondered how in America so many can afford to drive nice pick ups.

Pool players are incredibly cheap.

I know that I have had a ton of guys sleeping in my room at DCC, that probably had tons of money in their pockets but didn't want to pay for a room...They slept on the floor instead....

I used to go to DCC with my cousin and he wouldn't buy the food because it was too high there. So we would have to drive to a fast food restaurant and get it there....it gets better. He would only get his French fries from McDonalds, so it didn't matter where we got a sandwich we had to get the fries from McDonalds....

Poolplayers are nuts.

my dad is a big gambler and he is completely this way, it cracks me up. we used to have a system in blackhawk, colorado, where if you play high-stakes video poker, the games pay back about 99.5 - 99.9% but they give you cashback on your players card and cash coupons that put it well over 100%. we made like 6 figures doing it for a few years but eventually we got letters in the mail saying "based on your skilled level of play you are no longer allowed on the grounds at so and so casino blah blah blah" but thats another story. anyway, the games are volatile and you swing tens of thousands of dollars all the time. one day, he hit a 40,000 dollar royal and that night we went out to dinner and he refused to pay for the refill on his iced tea. no joke

The newer ones aren't nearly as bad on gas mileage as the older ones. I was moving recently and my truck was running very rich. I estimated I was getting around 5 miles to the gallon. ACK!! It took me awhile to figure out which was the bad component. Wasted a lot of money and gas, but couldn't afford to rent a truck to move with, so had to deal with the situation until I could fix it. I've pretty much always had a pick up, though. Too many useful things to do with it to do without.

I'll drive a little ways out of my way to save money on gas, like a mile or two, but when I really need it, I don't care how much it costs. Seems like the price has been changing once or twice a day around here lately. Mostly headed down, but went up a couple of cents overnight last night.

I have to admit that is crazy.

You cant make shet like that up!

...that most everyone here has probably witnessed or perhaps even been guilty of.

So the other day me and my boy Benny were talking about this and I wanted to hear youse guys thoughts.

Why is it that so many gamblers and poker players are so stingy when it comes to things like the price of gas? I mean, I know some guys that bet $1000 on one football game and they will drive 5 miles the wrong direction if they hear they can get gas 4 cents cheaper there. These same master physicists will not even look at the price of a candy bar if they want it at the SAME GAS STATION that they went out of their way to go to! It doesn't phase these idiots one bit to spend $1.75 on a snickers that they could get somewhere else for $0.99 or at worse $1.29 so why bicker over saving $0.22 on 5 gallons of gas for their RAM pickup?

Makes no damn sense to this guy.

Lots of people like this. Some people are "nitty" over little things and not other more important things. Seen it a million times.

Maybe, just maybe, the reason pool is in such a dire state today is because the men for too long have segregated women, and now it's just too damn late to fix pool.

Go make it rain somewhere, Arnaldo. You'll be in good company. :)

Now JAM, you know very well that a woman's place is in the home, chained to a cook stove, and pregnant.
Naw, forget pregnant. Child support is just too damn expensive these days. Let's just go with the chain and the cook stove.
And barefoot. Don't forget barefoot. :)

Simple..I think this might even be an old saying. But those guys are "penny wise and pound foolish!" :D

Amusing to watch in action but it is hell to ever work for someone who thinks like that!

You are only giving half the information. It works just the opposite way as well. If we pay a higher premium for gas. And gas prices drop. We drop the price on the higher priced gas that's already in the ground. The convenient store business is to competitive to gouge people on prices. Nowadays if you break even on the gas that you sell it's a good day. About half of the time we are selling gas at cost or below cost.

Agree, thanks, it is competitive market, but at times they do take advantage of us, and jack up prices for items that have high demand, or put an ad for regular item to drag you to the store and make walk around the items they want you to buy, or put high demand items all the way back so you walk and who knows you might grab a thing or two!! but A $1 store near buy will keep them honest!!

Don't try to understand women. Women understand women and they hate each other. - Al Bundy

I tended bar at a Five Star resort, with our restaurant overlooking the putting green and the ninth and tenth holes. We had a Large Round Table and once or twice a month the women from the area would have lunch. This is your classic, stereotype rich womens get together for Sunday brunch, 7-8 of em. When my women servers saw em enter the foyer, they would all run to the back to see who would get the table, they always wanted individual checks. I sure enjoyed the cackle, TV like moments, and to hear about the tipping of each one :).

I know this all too well. I waited tables for years. The only job that I've ever had that I miss doing.

Yeah its classic, women BcomplainItch, but they HATE to wait on their own kind. It's ironic, guys aren't that way. Lets call this ''Equal Bib'', waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa all the way home (:)).
