a thank you to CJ Wiley

Cj ran cj off. He did not come here to share in his experiences and talk amongst the "common" folks, he came to sell some products in the main forum, clog it with nonsense, and act a fool. When he got tired of that or stopped making money on them he left.

If you want an example of a billiard products company that understands how to conduct themselves in a professional manner look no further than OB CUES!

A fine example in my opinion.

Op im glad cj helped your game and it is kind of you to send a shoutout. I dont wish to pee in your thread so this will be my last post.

Amidst all the tossing about of ridicule and scorn concerning the futility of being a pro pool player; scoffing at the thought of making a living at pool; we had a fine example of a gentleman who, besides being a nice guy, had brains, guts, and worked tirelessly to try and succeed at a pool business he started, besides promoting the pool game, and what do you get?

A bunch of haters and trolls who attacked, argued, and ridiculed his opinions when he was trying to make a living doing what few pro players do; come on a public forum and actually have dialogue with us bangers, shooters, shortstops and egomaniacs. So now that he's gone, I suppose you jerks are happy.
And you know who you are.

Gentelman, nice guy, promoting the pool GAME? Who are you talking about?

I've used TOI quite a bit and I can tell you that it works. Not to mention it actually showed me some things about outside English.

If anyone says that it doesn't work, then they haven't truly explored it.

It's deflecting balls. Not sure why anyone would think it wouldn't work.

He contributed, which is more than many can claim. Who doesn't use a TOI occasionally, if not more often in rotation games? Money may have been a motivation but he shared and I would rather read his posts than many of the "fire balls" who can only hate but have nothing worthwhile to share. JMO

No one said that toi doesn't work. It just doesn't work as a certain someone claimed.

Yeah, he has been a contributor to this forum.

He posted about things that work in this game and not about hitting center cue ball !!!! And developing a perfect pendulum stroke.

He knows that center cue ball doesn't exist and there is no top player on this planet using ccb in his game.

People say TOI deflects the cue ball. I say TOI and TOO swerve the cue ball and combined with visual alignments and footwork (the same footwork doesn't work for both TOI and TOO....) will allow the player to learn how to perfectly pocket balls at any speed. Speed control is the real secret. Most people miss shots because of SPEED. And it is much easier to master speed control if you don't try to hit ccb.

He also said that Efren Reyes uses the same method (TOI - TOO) and some idiots were laughing at him.

Sure, it's better to have a team of "instructors" and "scientists" - "experts" (lollllll) in this forum and keep the good players out of here.

And I am also sure that none of these "experts" would play CJ for money (lol again). Actually, none of them can beat a good C player.....

What really happened wasn't a result of CJ and his magic system. Your level of concentration was higher because you were doing something different and was mindful of not making mistakes. If you continue it will wane, and you'll go back to where you were before.
The same thing happens when you grab a house cue of the poolroom wall.

Quoted for truth!

I know peoples like to joke about C.J and that is fine. I tried some stuff he said here in AZ... and I say my game went up couple levels. And now I come play to Darren´s 8-ball tournament in to New York..

So thanks C.J if you can see this.

Too bad CJ couldn't have used these amazing tools to become relevant in the competitive pool world. I always gave him shit, but I really was rooting for him to give it a go and do well.

CJ is a great teacher...

CJ worked hard to spread his weath of knowledge to the pool world here on AZ. I am bummed that he has been run off as I have learned more from his posts than anything else. He was spreading real, practical knowledge that has been tested under fire. These were things that no one else was sharing an gave us an insight to a champions way.
TOI works. I have been using it for a couple of years now and it has brought an awareness to my game I could not achieved otherwise. It was CJ's niche and does not have applications all the time. Like others have said it has become a tool in my toolbox that many others are missing.
I had the oportunity to go see CJ at his home for some lessons and it has been the best thing for my game. I have seen other instructors over the years and CJ showed me some practical things that now other teachers have not even come close to showing. The hammer stroke for example. This has provided a consistant wrist action with an acceleration at any speed. When under pressure I now have a consistant feel for my wrist, the same every time.
All the things I heard from CJ I now look for closely in the top professionals. I tell you, they are there. Examples, firm grip, Shaw, Hohmann. Not a death grip but controlling. Short follow through, this is a huge epiphany in my game. Look at SVB'S followthrough. Super short and crisp. His extensions is in most cases is not even past the cue for the follow through. Same with Shaw, look closely.
With any new knowledge is musts be made your own. Bruce Lee quoted something like take what you need make it your own and discard the rest. I wish people here on AZ would have just continued to listen to what CJ was saying as it was real and worked. Not everything works for everyone, just listen and absorp. So far I have not here anyone on this sight contribute what CJ did.

What the hell is it about pool players tool boxes?
The other day one of the guys comes in the pool hall carrying a leather tool box.
I say, "What's that?"
He says, "It's my pool players tool box. JB just started making 'em."
"What's in there?" I ask.
"Well, there's a hammer stroke. It's great for wrist action. An extension for making sure my follow through is correct. A framing square to ensure correct feet alignment. And, a ham and onion sandwich."
"What's the sandwich for?"
"It's for when I'm hungry."
He walks over and sets his tool box on the table, and I notice he's wearing a nail apron that says 'Schon Cues Rock'.
I walk off shaking my head. I need a beer.

I'm not, but just to be clear, I always felt that the Main Forum should be used for thoughts and ideas, insights and information, helpful hints, and humor.
Not for pimping someone's shit. :)

Lol, I agree but as you said, just to be clear, I always felt that CJ added more thoughts and ideas, insights and information, helpful hints and humor than pimping his shit. I guess we can agree to disagree. Carry on. ;)
