Abe Rich Titilst Conversion

That looks like what i have, but this is from Wiki
Abe, having worked at Rich Cue for three years, produced many pool cues at Star which bear a familial resemblance to his cousin's output. He favored Merry Widow forearms, and Brazilian Rosewood was often used, although he was also fond of more exotic materials. He stored hundreds of blanks of Goncalo Alves, Kingwood, Canadian Maple, Zebrawood, and Macassar Ebony, which dried year after year under the tarpaper roof. Merry Widows formed the basis of his production, although Abe did a number of Titleist conversions. He was particularly fond of Delrin trim rings and Ivorine-3 ferrules, assembling his cues with his own, top secret epoxy blend.[5]
You’d think I’d remember since I’m one of the sources for that Wiki article. Abe did in fact build some Titlist conversions for one customer (Wes Brant Billiards).

That said, and I guess I’ll need to revisit my notes, Abe didn’t do inlays. (Just checked. My notes from his nephew says he never did inlays, points, dots etc.)

Maybe I’ll remember next time. I doubt it.

Freddie <~~~ wrong again

since i study cues from a (sometimes) maker perspective.....
were Titleist cue points length often that mis-matched? Looks like 1/2" if not more?
Or is it an optical illusion in the photos?

If as appears, a modern maker could never get away with that.

At the time Titlist cues were made they were high production cues and yes the points were almost always off, these were not custom cues.

This pic of Jaymans 1967 Viking looks like same forearm.

500 if it is an ebony butt. hard to tell from the pics. i remember some ebony butts had colors different than the standard titlest house cue colors.
some were on the walls with house cues as house cues. not many as they were always 21 oz.
they had the brunswick sticker on them.

You came back! Yes, i still have it. I put a new tip on it and it's my favorite player. Will keep for foreseeable future, but thanks for interest. I like your cue as well.

Yes, I am back! It has been a few years. Contrary to rumors, I was not in prison.

I am glad you are enjoying the cue, and thank you for the additional picture.

If you ever decide to let it go, cash trade, or combination, please let me know. :)

I found a deal on another Rich cue. I think called a Starjet and looks unused. It comes with a 1992 Steve Miz dove logo SM-1. Both for $106.00

Saw that on Goodwill. I almost bought it, but I already have a couple of them, so I passed.

The thing about that one is that it does look new.

Great price.

Was under impression you were a radiologist from prior posts/comments. Looking at a CT on one screen and a cue on the other. I must be incorrect. I was a radiographer and sonographer.
Gen surg. Don't need to be a radiologist to read a CT. But I have been exclusively a private medical education consultant for more than 15 years.
