??? about cue

A.E. Schmidt......wasn't that an old pool table manufacturer?? The name sounds VERY familiar...but not so much with respect to cues. I'm almost positive (meaning just a hair above 51%) that they used to make billiard tables.

you are wright thay do make pool tables now,
the same co in the 50s and 60s made cues

Pretty cool. Didn't know that. Learn somethin' new every day, I guess.

Cool lookin' older cue, sir. Hope you find out some good intel on it.

Be good,

Mark

I don't think that's a Schuler joint, and it definitely doesn't look like a Schuler cue. Just an older cue with a piloted shaft, and a very short pin. If there is wood on the outside of the shaft pilot thingy, then it's definitely not a Schuler. A close up pic of the joint would tell for sure.

Does any one know any thing about this cue?
is it worth anything. Thanks

It appears to be a 1960's rich cue. it may have been sold through A.E Schmidt, as they bought and re-sold all kinds of cues including rich, adam, viking, and a slew of others.

Jayman.

just droppin' in. I've got a very nice 9ft Schmidt table. It's surprisingly rock solid, like 'Diamond table' solid! Also, that cue is def late 50's early 60's due to the wrap. I have a similarly wrapped cue. Unfortunately, not worth much. Maybe a hundo or so...

If that is an old cue it might be of value to my friends in Houstn who are putting together the finest collection of classic cues with the intention of something like a museum.Denny could look at it and even buy it,if it has any historical interest, and is a quality piece.Call me if I can be any help to you
