absolutely most difficult shot on a pool table?

that cue ball frozen deep in the pocket and 9 ball on the point so where it won't go in the side is the shot but i wouldn't want to give too many pros 1,000 shots at it

The make ability of this shot is highly dependent on the table difficulty I was able to make the shot by hitting the cue ball off the pocket wall with top outside english (no jumping) and get it into the diagonal corner pocket on my local bar 88x44 inch table in 32 tries. Once I had it down I could make it in less than 4 tries. Ball separation was measured to be .0015 of an inch using a feeler gauge.

Pockets are 5 1/4in wide with 143 degree sides and 1 1/2 inch self depth. An easy table by Dr. Dave's TDF calculations.

I will add that I also tried in on a 9 ft. Diamond Pro cut. No chance in hail at success.

He's talking about a different shot. He's referring to the OB by the side pocket, not next to the CB in the corner.

Shit, mans. I take it back.

Went downstairs and balls were as pictured. Fired it at 74mph and one railed it off the point, to opposite side rail, back to the pocket from whence it came.

Scratched in the opposite side, but evidence suggests it is the easiest shot to make all the balls on the table.

And I thought I knew pool. Hmmmph

Virtual Pool says you can jump the cue ball off the jaw of the pocket going nearly straight up and come down on the object ball to make it in that same pocket. Since no one believes such things without a video, here is a video:

This is the shot I was talking about.

Edit - The setup, not the actual jump shot.

I think the most difficult setup would be with the OB frozen awkwardly to the point of the side pocket so it can't be made directly into any of the pockets on that long rail.

Even then, given 1,000 tries...

kevoka, correct, but you quoted the shot with the OB in the side, as in the pictures above.

both balls frozen 90 degree angle to the rail - object ball frozen to the rail.
