Hi all,

I am a pool viewer junky, I have around 50 tapes so far. Now I've asked and not given much of an answer, what is the highest runs on tape.

I don't think I've seen more than a 5 pack (5 straight break and runs), does any one know what the highest on tape is???

Don't know what tape it is.. but I believe that Danny Medina runs 8. Flukes a ball in or something, but runs 8.

You should speak with Rolando from Amsterdam Billiards & Bar. He's got the largest Accu-Stats collection I've ever heard of (nearly 2000 tapes & dvds). He works Thursday during the afternoon. 212-496-8180. He may even sell it to you.

That wouldn't be Rolando Aravena, would it? He refereed a lot of the NY straight pool matches on tape. I think RA has just about everything out there.

Medina vs. Incardona - I believe it was 9 racks and it was from the 1991 Sands. I watched this one from the stands.

Sigel vs. Rempe - 150 and out from the US open straight pool. I think it was around 1994

Archer vs. Rempe - 6 racks. I think this is from the 1992 Sands and an absolutely terrific match

Reyes vs. Bustamante - somewhere around the 1996 Sands - There was a 5, a 4 and a 6 if memory serves

Strickland vs. Reyes - race to 120 in Hong Kong. On day two Strickland broke and ran so many racks it wasn't even funny. I don't remember if he had any big runs but I'd venture that he broke and ran about 70% of the games. It was awesome!

Blomdhahl vs. Cuelemans - 3 cushion billiards. Blomdhahl makes 60 pts in 18 innings including a 7 and an 11

There's also a tape that you can probably order online that shows a whole bunch of maximum 147 runs at snooker. It's not Accu-Stats but the quality of the snooker broadcasts is second to none.

I have a satellite recorded tape of Efren running 9 racks on Busta. Busta was ahead 3-1 and scratches on the break. When he came back to shoot, he was down 10-3.
Not an AccuStats tape though.

Hey Joey, do you know where I can find that tape?

He's also one of the nicest, classiest guys you'd ever want to meet, a true credit to the game of pool.

I also have the tape in VCD. a friend gave it to me. it's in the 1999 WPC semis. Efren is just phenomenal there. all 9 racks were break and runs. a lot of the break and run were from a very difficult rack and he never had a "golden break".

BTW, he also did a great bank shot on the 2 in the 13th or 14th rack. A MUST SEE

(for all DC++ users, watch out. i'll be sharing the match soon)
