I know it was an epic final, why not offer a purchase of the final match, that we can download instead of waiting for a DVD?

I would like to see this final again myself! Not sure what accu-stats vod capabilities are on location. Maybe back in the studio they can do this?

The main reason they stream it is to make DVD's to sell. Can't sell it and give it away free. Johnnyt

I'm hoping pat has the finals dvd available at the eight ball invitational next weekend. Can't wait to watch that again.

Gotta pay for the stream, then pay for the DVD. Nothing is free.

If they put up individual matches, they wouldn't make as much money and it would be a time consuming effort. Jam all of it on a DVD and charge a premium price and they will make their money.

I think the request was make it available as a purchase electronically instead of a DVD to make it available faster, not for a free upload to YouTube or something.

I think their prices for 24 hr of a view of one match is way high though. $6 for one race to 9 or 11 for 24 hrs not even to keep is way over what I'd be willing to pay.

They need a monthly subscribtion to all the content. I'd pay $20-30 a month for that no problem.

Currently the masters are being edited to be sent to ESPN Star... This is usually a 3-4 week process... After that they return for burning DVDs... Since on Demand is becoming a larger and larger thing and a bunch of you would like to rewatch it or watch t before the DVDs get out I would say email Pat Fleming and make the request that the Finals match be made available PPV in the Accu-Stats Theatre..... pat@accu-stats.com should get him....

Seeing that finals match again would be great! I know I am buying the DVD when available...

On a semi-related note, has Accu-Stats ever looked at moving to a 100% on-demand model? They must have the single biggest repository of pool matches in existence and it's a shame that they can only be accessed on a per-match basis via DVD. The DVD model in general is clearly migrating to the on-demand model and it makes me wonder if Accu-Stats could benefit from the transition.

I understand that there are financial and infrastructure reasons for not doing this, but I know that, as a consumer, I would love this! They could easily get me to subscribe to a monthly on-demand model..especially if they had a mobile app.

They do have on demand streaming, but it's $6 a match for 24 hrs. Not a lot of benefit there since CSI and others post their stuff for free after the event, and many have free streams in addition to posting it for later viewing.

I think AccuStats may be the next Sears or Digital, just not moving with the times and sticking to a decade old pricing and distribution model. They do seem to still do well though but they are not even close to being the only game in town for pool matches like they were in the 80s 90s and early 2000s.

I did get the US Open stream, but won't be getting it on DVD. I would get a digital match though if they were a few $ a match or maybe $20 for the full tournament. Not $10-20 a DVD of a single race.

Yes, you're right. Me bad. Thanks for correcting me. I guess I need to slow my reading down like the rest of this old body has slowed. Johnnyt
