Hatch/Thorpe won 5-4. Played well but got every roll
Oscar lost 3-5 to Ralph. Played pretty well
Sky/SVB got killed 5-1 by near perfect pool from Filler/Shaw
Sky lost 5-1 to Alcaide who played very good
Filler/NVB just blanked SVB/Billy 5-0.

This could be headed towards early Day 3 finish and similar worst result 11-2 as in 2013. If 11-2, it will be worse than last year of 11-3. Will Johan will released early from contract ?
Barry Hearn may be contemplating sacking Euro men team since they overperformed and replace with women team next year. Alison Fisher, Kelly Fisher, Jasmine Ouschan will be playing Skyler, Thorpe and few boys. Shane will take over as non-playing captain with Hatch as cheerleader cum bouncer.

We gotta stop trying to take on a whole continent without using our full continent. That's just where I'm at

Wouldn't matter. Europe simply has a better pool culture than America does at this time. America has pool halls closing left and right, and Europe has private clubs EVERYWHERE that compete against each other in multi-tiered leagues regularly. We have APA.

America has video games completely taking over the minds of the youth so they don't have time for anything as boring as pool. In Germany, as an example, the government charges a tax per TV in the home, therefore you don't have as many children who live their entire teenage years on a video game console, so they get bored and have to go find something to do.

I understand your points, but Pagulayan and Morra would certainly help

Thats what I'm thinking too. The stage got bigger but we didnt get to expand our reach. In Europe anytime some new bomb ass player shows up they get to pick them up. It's nonsense

We probably have 100 times more pool players in the US than Europe. Where are our bomb ass players?

That's NOT the problem!! I keep saying it over and over again, but no one understands. America is all about gambling, ask anyone here on AZ....if you want to IMPROVE your game, you have to learn to GAMBLE....that'll make a REAL play out of you!!! Well, once again, the gamblers got off to a slow start....and the quarter horses dumped shit on their heads because they're such slow starters. IF the Marconi Cup was a race to 25, 50, or a 100 games to win....I'd bet everything i own on team USA....BUT IT'S NOT!!!! It's short races, and just like i said last year....and the year before, once again team USA is made up of pure gamblers, while team Europe is made up of TOURNAMENT players that know they have to take off running at full speed at the break....BEFORE they fade and team USA wakes up and realises they're behind....and it's ALL OVER FOLKS!!!!

Feeling sorry

I'm feeling bad for our guys,,, they work their butts off and represent us in the highest level of professionalism so well.

I think part of the problem is the pressure of the crowd,,,, if you watch our US 9 ball open there is like 20 people in attendance at the finals.

F off to the gambling aspect, this has matured to a world class level sport which is great. It is not about some 2 bit hustler action working your way across the plains on the back of a train car. This is about world champions.....
