Adam Cues

Same play my last 5 Cases were made, and the off shore work make great, good, not so good, bad, and junk.

JBCase are like the best thing going be you get Chevrolet model? Or fully tooled Ferrari model.

Ninety nice cent torch lighter, and 300 buck ST DuPont torch lighters.

OK, for the second time in a week I'm going to stick up for cowboy. He's right about China making, "great, good, not so good, bad and junk"

This all distressed me because I'm really pissed at China over (NPR). So much so that instead of buying a Predator shaft that I wanted I bought a new Mezz. Now the Mezz is both beautiful and made even better than my favorite Predator. But, but that damn China cue plays better (for me) than the superior Mezz.

Between the cowboys writing and China trying to kill us all, I'm so confused. I have some real nice American and Japanese cues sitting in a display case. The China cue is next to my table, damnit.

Chinese craftsmen produce super stuff, this little gem from JBCase makes the point.

Anyone who has the money & opportunty to own this fine butterfly case should be proud.

Yes made in China by super craftsmen, only took month to tool leather before assembly.🤯

Revo shafts are made in Mass. not China. The Pred. butts are unless its one of the Jacoby special editions.

People who put people on ignore are IMHO missing out on the occasional Gold Nugget.🤣
Here's your award-

Practicality, meet ideology.

Ideology, practicality.

Since '96,all Adam cues are made in China.
(Edit: Take everything I say with as many grains of salt as needed:)

This is a common misconception. Miki Cues and Adam Japan ended their contract around 1995, but Adam Japan continued making cues as they had all along. Miki was not the only or the final cue builder for Adam Japan. They were a sub-contractor for Adam Japan. Adam USA (aka Adam NY) eventually became Competition Sports under Dave Forman, and then eventually under Don Spetkar

Two flavors of Adam cues are still made today:

- The first is from Adam Japan, which are built by the Adam Japan Cues company in Japan (edit... it's unclear if Adam Japan today still makes an Adam line. They were made there up til a few years ago, IIRC. The Adam Classic line is built in Taican, China).

-The second is the Adam USA cues, which are contract built in Taiwan for the Balabushka Cue Company, owned by Peggy Mallen. Mrs. Mallen owns the rights to Adam USA, Helmstetter Cues and the Balabushka Signature Series. She and her late husband were the first to bring those cue lines to Taiwan in 2011. Spetkar may have attempted doing business in Taiwan, but now I have to check my notes :) Patty Vorliss (admin of Forman who owned and subsequently sold the trademark to the Mallens) last had Adam USA cues built in Japan just prior to selling the trademarks to the Mallens.

This might be completely contradictory to the common misinformation out there, and it might be a eye opener. If you all have any questions, please let me know on DM. I know many people will think this is all the wrong information, but it's not. I've been trying to piece a lot of this together these past years since there are obvious contradictions.

Great information about the Cue line, finally great information to solve mystery.👍

Where are adam cues like the AD-7 currently being made. I have
seen them listed as USA and Japan. Also if in the USA does anyone
know who makes them
Current AD7 Adam Cues are built in Taiwan (Kao Kao) for the Balabushka Cue Company (Peggy Mallen). IMO, they are well made.

Glad to hear this. I recall buying a 4 point Adam from Competition Sports at the time. It wasn't fancy and $100 new.I was told this was the last stock from Japan as I ordered it. Thanks!
