People are being quick to judge because there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that is a good enough excuse for taking over a month to ship a cue, except for being dead or in a coma. It's unfortunate that you don't seem to feel the same way.

You lack of reasonable concern isn't exactly inspiring confidence either. Many of the sellers with a similar attitude end up being thieves when things aren't going well for them, even though they may not have been planning on stealing when they first entered into the transaction. I hope this one just turns out to be a case of a bad seller, and not one of a thief.

Very well put. Thanks.

BTW, nothing in todays mail, I know... shocker!

Yeah I just dont see this cue was shipped on the 11th as he said and now the 17th and still no cue. I put in the delivery confirmation number he gave and it says no record..

and that was a good question. How did he go from one red rep to 3 green reps in this thread?

No reason it should take over a month to ship out the guys cue when you have his money.. No reason at all.. Takes a whole hours time to box a cue and get to the post office..

Surely you had 1 hour in the last 30 or so days.. There's no excuse really. You keep saying "things have came up" but give no real reason other than that line on what has stopped you.

You may be a straight up honest guy Adam for all I know, But the way you conducted your business here is the exact reason why I stay away from new members that sell on here.

I wish it wasn't that way but it is what it is..

Added:

Adam, I live in Florida too.. Where are you located? Maybe I can just drive and pick up the cue from you and ship it out to the buyer since you don't seem to have time to.

I sell a lot of cues on here and when things like this happen it hurts us all. For many reason and especially trusting. If nobody trusted each other it would be real hard to sell cues on here. Which would definitely hurt me as I play pool, Cards, and sell cues to make my ends..

Again, I don't question you as a person because I don't know you. Just the way you handled your business here is pretty poor.. and you have no reason to dog out other members or say I'm done with apologies.

Think about it.. Imagine you paid some guy you didn't know hundreds of dollars on his word you will get a cue in a week. Then 30 days or so go by and you have nothing. How would you feel?

Heres a quote from Adam on 6/10/08 10:24 pm post# 33

I apologise again for all the mixup, Courtney has the tracking number, I understand the fear of being scammed, I really do but some understanding would be nice from everyone out there.

The Delivery confirmation receipt is dated 6/11...How could Adam give Courtney the confirmation number a day earlier than the stamped receipt...is that possible?

Thats because of our 2 hour time difference...I'm in colorado......My point being how can Adam give Courtney a tracking number on the 10th, when the receipt is dated on the 11th..doesn't this raise any red flags??

Too far for me to drive on something like this.

Just confused on why it would take over 30 days for him to get to the post office. and my reasons for saying anything have been stated above.

Not like I'm just out to drill anyone in sight about things. I'm sure you understand what I mean.

You get a separate receipt for insurance with a delivery confirmation number as well. Did you purchase insurance? If so, produce that receipt to track the package.

No Way..

Nine-Ball, Next time we work out a deal on a cue, I think I'm going to take a month or two to send it out to you.....NOT....
THAT IS SO UNCOOL, NO EXCUSE MAN...
RETURN THE MONEY, SCR_W THE CUE...

Now that's not fair considering you got yours overnight from me. :p

Wait, are you saying you will have things come up? Oh ok, I understand. Talk to you in a month or two. Go ahead and keep my money until then.. and send me a false confirmation number to calm my worries when it's still not sent. :p :p

This sounds like a nightmare. My first transaction on ebay was cue sale. It took 3 weeks for USPS priority to deliver it from Wisconsin to Colorado. I was in constant contact with the buyer and aside from apologizing a zillion times I kept him as up to date as I could. I even offered to refund his money if he didn't receive the cue by a certain date. The cue finally arrived and he gave me positive feedback because of my communication and willingness to give his money back. Customer service is priceless.

You need to find out what class of service was used. I had someone try to save himself $2 on shipping by using Parcel Post and it took 30 days!!! No joke.

And why is this guy's rep not RED????

Usps

I sent an item about a month ago to AZer DWBOD, and it took two and a half weeks through USPS to arrive. Of course I sent it from and FPO address from out of country as well. Thank the lord the DWBOD is a patient person. But cues eventually arrived. Sometimes USPS just takes a while, but 30 + days is ridiculous. After 21 days from time of shipment, you can claim the insurance if there was any insurance put on this package, or if it truly was even shipped. AZers like this make me really not want to buy here.

How about just a receipt showing the purchase at the post office.....The receipt will show:

Date
Time
Desitination
Type of shipping ground, priority, etc.
Insurance label #
Delivery confirmation #

I've shipped 50+ cues by USPS always priority overnight with insurance . Never had one lost or damaged or even late. It's worth every penny of the $28-$60 dollars that it costs. The less time in transit the less time to get lost or damaged IMO.

It's time to give Courtney his money back . If the postal service lost it or what ever the problem is It's YOUR problem not his.

Either one would go a long way for him in this situation.

I don't know how much good anything could do for him, waiting a month to ship the cue was inexcusable in the first place. This guy sounds like your average barkcinnamon asshole scammer type

The only way it could help is to verify he actually sent it to the OP. I agree with you as to what things sound like. Need some dough? Get a Az ID and some cool pool cue pics and scam some body, it is scary.

There's a few problems here that I am glad you noticed..Sure,this is a delivery conformation slip and it has a postmark but it is also no filled out with anything marked off . You got the receipt from the clerk they gave you when you sent this because you also get a receipt along with this from there register when you mailed it. A clerk will not just date stamp a delivery conformation slip without filling out the slip(not that it aint possible but not s.o.p.) These slips are scanned right at the counter and thats the only way they get date stamped also. Unless you have the receipt the clerk gave you this delivery conformation slip means nothing so stop blaming the post office.Scan us a copy of the receipt so I can contact the Postal Clerk who helped you because this is also on the receipt. I'll be glad to help in anyway possible and the Postal Inspection Service can also look into this matter.
Thanks

BTW....If it is a 'good' Delivery Confirmation #, when it is entered into the USPS website's Track & Confirm, it will give you a status of Acceptance, and the origin of the shipped item. With that said....the clerk at the counter actually has to remember to scan the barcode, in order for that information to even become available.

At the very least, you or the clerk should have filled out the Ship To info on the receipt...and the method of shipping should have been indicated.

PO clerks are human just like everyone else, and do make mistakes from time to time, however...it is your responsibility as the shipper to check all your receipts before leaving the counter to make sure that everything is in order, or to address a mistake while it can still be corrected.
