Hello Guys,

I am looking for a break cue under $100, any recommendation with that budget? Thanks.

Second to that question.
I'm looking for one without phenolic tip. Is white diamond tip better then phenolic?

Hello Guys,

I am looking for a break cue under $100, any recommendation with that budget? Thanks.

i am not sure of the price but the only brand i can think of that might be around that price would be poison maybe ?

save up your money and get an alex brick " i paid 300.00 but i heard you can get them for around 250.00 " . if you did get a brick you would thank me for that advice .

I picked up a rage j/b cue for around 60 bucks. Don't like it for jumping but very happy with
How it breaks. It is 25 oz break cue so keep that in mind. Many people say go light with break cues to get more speed. It is the opposite for me. I wanted to control whitey better and going with a heavier break cue enabled me to focus more on control and less on speed. I am still breaking at around 24-26 mph so it works well for me

Buy a McDermott Lucky cue for $39. Have a Samsara break tip installed by the dealer for around $25. Get it somewhere in the 18oz to 19oz range. Break and be happy.

Suggestions

J&J's are economical and offer plenty of bang for the buck. Aska also provides a solid hitting model for relatively cheap.

Regarding your tip selection, this is almost always a matter of personal preference. White Diamond tips are not necessarily better, nor worse, than other varieties of materials such as phenolic, leather, G10, etc. Piccone's are rather hard, so keep that in mind while weighing out your options.

Furthermore, if your budget could accommodate, I would highly recommend saving your resources to invest in a cue by Steve Lomax. Alex Brick, as previously mentioned, also manufactures a sound cue. Both have turned out great tools for our community over the years.

Best of luck in your searches.

I got a Jian ying j/b for right around that with shipping and this thing is a monster. The guy that sells them on ebay has an ebay store. I think it's M&T Billiards or MT Billiards or something like that. Pretty good for the bucks

+1 on the J&J recommendation and as to your question on white diamond tips, they are phenolic and, imo, the best break tip available.

However, if you require a non-phenolic break tip for bca rules or whatever, the Samsara break tip is def the way to go.

Of course, all of the above is in my humble opinion.

best,

+2 on the j & j I'm using one now! I've used lots of break cues I always go back to it only one I really have not tried is ob witch will be soon! But for the price and what u get j & j is great abd bet just what ur looking for!

I use a Varney j/b and love it. But its over the. $100 budget.

J/J's are the way to go for the money. My only beef is the shaft diameter is a little too thick for my liking. But thats nothing to fix with a competent cue repairmen.

Or one of the McDermott Lucky cues. Get a phenolic installed and have a party!

Action makes a nice J/B for under $100 and looks nice too. I've only jumped with it but it jumps very easily. I was surprised at how easy. Nice cue for the money!

I used to break with a Players, and had no real complaints. I was playing a match against Doggin one night and asked to try his because he was doing so well with it. After my second or third break I asked him where he got it. He ordered one for me and I haven't looked back since. It's more like $150 but well worth it. It's a poison vs or v2 or something like that j/b. It has a rubber grip that reminds me of a golf club. The jump isn't bad either really but I don't use it.

Guyss, thanks for all the advices!! really appreciate it very much, seems like Players or J&J is ideal for me. :) Thanks again.
