After great John Davis, who is best cue blank maker now?

Andrew Rounceville, hands down imo. Super craftsmanship. Diveney uses a lot of his stuff. He worked with John prior to his passing. Get in line or catch him at a cue show before he sells out which is usually in the first hour.

Check out Kelly Peterson (mvp cues):

If you examine the following area on a cue made from a JD blank:

...you will notice a big difference. Modern blank makers get a much tighter/neater fit with the forearm.

Another that i've never seen but heard good things about is Ernie Omori. Lives in Seattle area iirc. He's "Ernie eyeocues" here on AZ.

Ernie omori was always my top favorite
But it’s been impossible to get him to sell anything the past 5 years

I’ve had several of his blanks
Always had the longest sharpest points

Especially his veneered fs with butterflies wow what incredible work should be seen but so few out there

I have a JD blank finished by PFD and there are some small flaws at the points.

However, it is a super solid hitting cue that is currently my player while I give the girls (two Gina’s) a well deserved rest.

Lou Figueroa
looks ain’t everything

I'll second both Kelly Peterson and Andrew Rounceville. I have a Rounceville blank finished by Kelly Peterson. Fantastic craftsmanship, it's my main player and I'll never sell it.
