Aiming Line on shaft?

yeah about 3 weeks ago in
Cologne Germany a guy had one with what looked like crosshairs if you looked at the base of the shaft, its a american made shaft, the black inset in it made it a bit stiff.

i have played with cues where the guy who owned it ytook a sharpie marker and drew a line from the tip to where his his bridge is, i played lots with that cue. i dont ever remember looking at the line, i looked at the shaft but that line was one more distraction imo
 
At the risk of speaking about aiming, you already have the perfect aiming lines on your shaft. The two sides of your shaft. Left side for cutting left, and right side for cutting right.
 
Aiming Line on shaft

I've never seen an Aiming Line on a shaft but would like to try one. Maybe it would improve my game.
 
I haven't but my old ob2 shaft had (or developed) a line, and I found it pretty helpful
when experimenting with shane's aiming system.

I think any sort of thick drawn/inlaid line would be a distraction.
Something like the barely visibil seam between the slices of laminated shafts is better.
