I take a 2 hour lesson (turns into a 3+ hour) with Ron Vitello every Monday night..just came back from it actually. The best thing about Rons 90/90 method is that he can adjust you to see where you're overcutting and undercutting based on your pre-pivot alignment. When I was ringing balls in the corner pockets on long shots and they werent going down, he got behind me to make sure the fundamentals were correct and when that wasnt the problem he went down table and noticed that my "perception" of 90/90 at object ball wasn't far out enough so I was overcutting slightly..he said if I was more comfortable aming half tip right on right cuts and then pivoting in and same on left cuts..he said whatever gets you lined up correctly is fine as long as its the same part of both the cueball and object ball. After that I was hitting center pocket on almost every shot..rattle was gone with or without speed..great feeling. And then of course the diamond system and kicking that he's become legendary for. He's an awesome "coach" as he puts it with a ridiculous amount of knowledge and some great stories..and a great guy to be around. I look forward to seeing him every Monday night.
