Aiming...

I feel that everybody has an aiming system. To some it may be totally subconscious but they're aiming at something, I do believe. And face it, Mr. Mosconi had a system too. For me, starting out, it was the 'Ghost Ball System' of aiming. That was way back in 1965 and also, if I recall correctly, I got it from Mosconi's 'red book'. For a while now I have been suplementing my aiming with a system using the edge of the ferrule. So there is absolutely no naysaying on my end at all!!:)

It's amazing but it appears that aiming alone does not work. You need the whole package working together for success. You need to be able to hit what you're aiming at but if you cannot aim properly it just 'don't' work. And this is only part of the equation. This game is very complex and that you should understand, but on the flip side side you don't want to make it too complicated. What it boils down to is to practice and to practice with a purpose in mind.

It is very satisfying to know the angle that the center or the side of the ferrule aiming at the parts of the OB achieves for you. When you see that angle, you know where to aim with great success. If the angle is just a bit off of those known angles, make a slight adjustment and pocket the ball.:)

It makes the game fun, even if you just practice those shots, when they go in regularly.

Or, The A Ming Dynasty. Which came right before the B Ming Dynasty.
